Steve Hammond, LPC
About me
Maybe you stumbled here hoping someone would understand the trials you're going through. Are you at your wit's end with your spouse or other family member? Does life feel like you're "swimming in molasses"? Let me help. I'm here to listen, ask the right questions, and let you strategize a course of action.
I have a special place in my heart for couples going through rough times because of communication breakdown or betrayal of trust. I'd love to work with your teen to find out what motivates him/her. Let's explore sexual orientation issues safely, honestly.
I've been a counselor for 7+ years and still operate in private practice in Georgia. I operate from an integrated approach of blending the best-researched practices of psychology with my Christian faith. I'm not here to judge or preach, but to show compassion especially where people have been "burned" by the church.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Steve Hammond. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I've been with Steve for about 6 months now. I started therapy because of one issue and expecting one result. What I got was a deeper experience focused around needs that I did not know I had. I have gained a more robust understanding of myself and underlying issues that manifested as patterns of behavior over years. I have been taken on a journey that has often been difficult and unpleasant but always with movement toward a more centered and healthy version of myself. Steve has a calling for helping people uncover the best versions of themselves in the most perfect and professional ways.

Steve was my counselor for 1 year and through our time together, his expertise, knowledge, listening skills were incredibly valuable. Steve helped me work through overthinking, anxiety, relationship issues, and past trauma. He was great at observing patterns, asking questions, and pointing me to valuable resources.
