About me

Sue Frazier-Bear
MS/LPC/MHSP/S

Welcome to the safety and acceptance of my counseling space. I bring over sixteen years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Mental Health Service Provider. I also bring experience as a training supervisor of those aspiring to be counselors. As a provider who has also sat in the client’s chair in therapy, I bring an understanding of the importance of trust in this very special relationship, which for me, is founded in the belief of dignity and respect for all. Over the years I have studied my craft extensively, and I have honed my counseling skills in concentrated work in education and with psychiatrists, mentors, and other counselors. Yet, it is my work with my clients that has given me the greatest understanding of my purpose as a counseling professional and my place as a support for those clients as they address issues and work to find meaning in the journey. My skills are best employed in individual counseling, where I employ Compassion Focused Therapy.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Sue Frazier-Bear. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I've been seeing Dr. Frazier- Bear for about 6 months, and I can honestly say that my experience has been life-changing. From the very first session, she made me feel heard, understood, and supported in a way that was both comforting and empowering.

She has an innate ability to create a safe and non-judgmental space, allowing me to explore even the most difficult emotions with openness and honesty. She has an incredible ability to ask the right questions, offer gentle yet insightful feedback, and guide me toward deeper self-awareness. I’ve learned so much about myself and gained tools to cope with challenges in ways I never thought possible.

She blends professional expertise with a genuine sense of empathy, making each session feel personal and meaningful. After going through a TRUE existential crisis when finding out I was illegaly adopted- and the subsequent emotional and psychological ripples that spread from that and being raised by a narcissist adoptive mother, I can say Dr. Frazier-Bear has been the support I needed and will continue to need as I navigate this experience.

I have always struggled with therapy- except with Sue. I can truly open up to her
and she gives me such a calm and and safe feeling. She provides me with different coping skill and activities. She works to meet me where I am at and I’m so thankful to have her as my therapist.
