Susan Kelly-Lowery, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in South Carolina with 5 years of experience. I graduated from Capella University with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling . I have provided counseling services in both a school and outpatient mental health clinic addressing both mental health, parent/child relationship issues, and substance abuse/addictions needs of clients.
My primary therapy orientation is both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). Through these therapy models I strive to build a caring, warm, collaborative relationship with clients which is built on the foundation of respect for who you are and where you are in your life. Through the counseling relationship we will work to achieve your identified life goals. Barriers and challenges come in all forms, the key is to accept and embrace the timing of change and allow for growth and improvement in your life.
My experience includes treating depression, anxiety, grief and loss, substance use/addictions, life skills, mindfulness/coping skills, parenting issues/concerns and stage of life changes. Counseling is a journey that beings with learning about you the client and how I can assist you. If you are ready to take the next step; it will be a honor to be a part of your journey.
