Sylvia Lee, LPC
About me
I am licensed in Wisconsin with 18 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, lgbt-related issues, coping with grief and loss, & intimacy related issues. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
Many clients find it helpful to have an objective and trusted listener. Someone they can talk with and receive support from without fear of judgment. I offer a comfortable and private setting for you to settle in and talk about your concerns. Maybe you are having some feelings and thoughts that scare you or maybe you are under a lot of stress or grieving a significant loss. The thought of change is usually more overwhelming than the actual change and I am here to help you through that.
I identify as a black, female therapist who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community and I am passionate about serving people from all cultural backgrounds and ages. I enjoy partnering with clients to help them take ownership of their journey and empower them on their road to healing. I strive to support individuals and families in their efforts to heal and grow as well as become reconnected to their strengths and dreams.
Maybe you're contemplating a change and not sure about your path; a new job, starting, ending, or recharging a relationship, resolving old hurts, or grieving the loss of someone special. Remember that the first step is always the hardest but you have already taken that step by starting the search for a therapist. Now it is time to make that appointment.

From the limited time I've had with Sylvia she has been very helpful if getting down to my issues and giving it to me straight. I've been able to reflect on myself in a very honest way.

I love Sylvia SO much. I was a bit hesitant to try Better Help, as I never have participated in therapy like this. She's so attentive to me throughout the week when we're not in a video session, it's outstanding. She is funny, thoughtful, encouraging, and all-around a GREAT therapist. I am so happy!

She always brings me so much love and support but I feel I am able to be myself and independent outside of therapy

Sylvia has been a life changer with the help she’s provided me with! I truly couldn’t thank her enough for all of the help she’s given me in such a short amount of time (2 weeks!). I immediately felt better when I matched with her - and, her balance of professionalism with personal experience is great. The resources / information she provides saves me time and helps to put a name to the various things I’ve struggled with. Would 100% recommend Sylvia.

Sylvia is a kind, considerate, and hard working therapist. The way she balances humor, care, and comfort within her sessions while pushing me to strive for growth is admirable. I always feel seen and heard and sessions are targeted at my individual need for that day. I would recommend Sylvia to anyone looking for a trauma informed provider who knows how to balance the heavy with the heartfelt humor.
