About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Virginia and a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW-S) in the State of Ohio. I earned my Master’s of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1996. I spent over 15 years in a public social service setting working with adolescents and their families. Most recently I have been in a school setting working with middle school aged youth. I have worked with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, behavior problems, and the stress of parenting.

My nonjudgmental, supportive and compassionate nature allows me to build and maintain therapeutic relationships. I have a client centered approach and would enjoy working with you to set both short term and long term goals in therapy. I could help you develop the skills and strategies you’ll need to overcome current and future challenges you may face

Tammy is always there to listen and help me find ways to navigate what’s going on. She makes me feel comfortable and never feel like a burden. This was my first therapy experience and she has made it awesome

Tamara is the first therapist I’ve spoken with whom I felt truly cares about me and doesn’t see me as just another client. She always remembers who and what I’m talking about even if we haven’t talked about that person/topic in months. She reaches out to me when I miss sessions. Knowing my dietary restrictions, she’s sent me recipes after hours that she’s looked up and thinks I could eat. I cannot recommend Tamara enough.
