About me
In peace there is no dark, no light, no sorrow, only life unending, ageless and whole. Peace dissolves the walls we build to hide from ourselves. In peace all is still, yet never stuck. Peace is present everywhere yet rules from a throne at the heart of all beings."
-Karen Goldman
Counseling Philosophy:
As a licensed professional mental health counselor, I am committed to providing compassionate counseling services to help my clients find a better sense of peace, balance and well being while honoring the personal journey of every individual. I offer support to children, individuals, couples, and families in need of connection to both themselves and others.
Through a collaborative, holistic approach, my therapy services incorporate the mind, body, and spirit in defining and encouraging overall personal health and wellness. Together we will identify behavioral patterns that are no longer working for you and explore new ways of dealing with challenging issues by utilizing your inner strengths and abilities. We will work collaboratively to develop effective new ways of thinking, coping and reacting to your environment and personal relationships. I incorporate a variety of therapeutic tools and interventions working from a "systems" perspective which recognizes we are all a product of our environments both past and present.
Together we will examine the role these systems have played in your life and recognize new healthier patterns of living authentically. I believe everyone has the right to be happy and at peace within themselves. My goal is to instill this hope that will turn your life around. I will help you redefine and reclaim your life and find true happiness in all your relationships.
Professional Credentials: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am registered with the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists and abide by the ethical codes of the American Counseling Association.
