About me

Life can be hard. We think we should have the tools and skills to cope with every life struggle and challenge, but some are just too much to bear alone. I have worked over 15 years in supporting others with their life challenges or concerns as a counselor and a MFT therapist. My beginning sessions focus on helping you get to know me and help us decide if we are a good match for therapy. Getting to know one another is helpful so you feel more comfortable sharing details of your concerns. I believe that everyone is doing the best they can to live their life, using the choices and opportunities available to them. As a result, my therapy style is very down-to-earth, non-judgmental, casual, and humor is used too. I believe that we make choices that work for our own lives and there is no perfect solution that works for everyone. With this belief, I choose to support you in exploring what solutions will work for YOUR life. My sessions focus on the here-and-now, but I acknowledge the past does affect our present life. While I have knowledge of and occasionally use other theories , my favorites are Client- Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution- Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Humanistic Therapy.
I prefer individual therapy sessions. I also request you view my schedule before choosing me as your therapist. Usually I am available for sessions Monday , Wednesday, and Friday. Typically I am available 3:00-6:00 with a few breaks in between. My session hours may vary during holiday breaks. I am available during the week for messaging and ask to allow 24 hours to respond.
