Tammy Inselman, LICSW
About me
Reaching out for support can be intimidating and scary, especially when you are struggling with the competing and sometimes traumatic demands of life. Finding a therapist that you can connect with and work collaboratively with to improve your quality of life is important and valuable. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has over 25 years of experience working with children, families, older adults and veterans. I believe being authentic and providing a judgement free zone are vital in creating a safe place for people to be vulnerable and comfortable enough to process their feelings and make realistic plans for improvement. My treatment modalities tend to veer towards client centered, solution focused and cognitive behavioral. I believe that it is important to help people identify their personal and external strengths/supports incorporating them into the treatment plan. My hope is that therapy will provide you with comfort, validation and success in ways that are important to you.

I've been seeing Tammy for a short period of time, but I honestly feel like she's my person. I've been in therapy with a few others before, but just didn't really feel there was an engaging conversation - more of just listening to me, which is nice at times - but being able to talk through it like a friend, but also someone who is specialized in it, is really what I need. I truly look forward to meeting with her every week and look forward to her helping me on my journey to recovery.
