Tanya Varnum, LMHC
About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner with 17 years of counseling experience. I use Somatic Experiencing in addition to Dialectal Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in helping you recognize the patterns in your life and become the observer of your thoughts and feelings. I believe in working with the whole person and not just the mind. I use Somatic Experiencing to help you move emotions through your body and calm your nervous system. In the first session with me, you can expect to be welcomed as you are without judgment. I will provide a safe environment for you to share what you need in the counseling relationship, and I will share with you what I am capable of providing. We can decide if I am the best match to help you achieve your goals for the changes you want to see in your life.
