About me

It is so hard to ask for help but you have gotten this far, let me help you! My goal is to provide hope and guide you to a more fulfilling future!

My name is Tara and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania, also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). For 6.5 years, I worked with children and adolescents with Autism and other mental health disorders and their guardians, managing their children's challenging behavior. This has also included co-parenting difficulties. I have 15 years' experience helping people who struggle with alcoholism and addiction. Also, pre COVID, I volunteered to assist and facilitate activities during the weekend-long (2015-2019) Camp Erin, Philadelphia (Eluna Network), as a cabin ‘Grief Chief'. This camp is geared toward helping children ages 6-17 process the death of a loved one. We created a fun and safe atmosphere where the children could express their feelings, tell their stories and memorialize their loved ones.

I believe in treating my clients with dignity, respect and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, trauma-focused (because really- who makes it out of childhood without some kind of trauma!), and psychodynamic therapy.
