Tara Watts, LCSW
About me
My name is Tara Watts, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania. I have over 20 years of experience working as a clinician, working with individual, couples and families. I have worked with clients of varying ages with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, OCD and ADHD, this includes people who have histories of trauma.
My therapeutic approach is strength-based, person-centered, solution-focused and trauma-informed using cognitive -behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and psychodynamic therapies. I am also committed to continuous education, as I strive to remain consistent with best practices.
I strive to meet you where you are and work together to set goals and develop a plan that targets your needs. I tend to focus on what you are experiencing and the impact to your daily life, not on labels or specific diagnosis. I understand how labels can be debilitating, but with the right approach you can experience growth, change and success.
I acknowledge your courage in taking the necessary steps to have a more fulfilling and happier life. I am willing and able to assist you as you engage the process of change. I look forward to talking with you soon and joining you in this effort.

She has been very helpful so far. Tara is easy to talk to and I like the way she offers advise. She is good at getting me to open up. She also encourages me to have phone or video sessions over messaging, and which has proven beneficial for my treatment

Though I was only with her a short time, Tara was there for me when it seemed like my life was a complete mess. She helped me handle things the best I could and figure out ways to prioritize things. I’m very grateful for her help.

Tara is incredibly calm and patient with me. She exhibits understanding and listening, and reframes and reflects what I am saying/thinking for me to see from a different perspective. I’ve been able to make a lot of connections about myself and my narrative that I don’t think I would have made without Tara’s guidance.
