Taylor Dotson, LISW
About me
Hello! My name is Taylor Dotson, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) with a passion for providing inclusive and affirming therapy to individuals. With over 3 years of experience in mental health, my practice is dedicated to supporting clients in their journeys towards self-acceptance, healing, and empowerment.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Case Western Reserve University, and I am licensed by the state of Ohio to practice independently. My therapeutic approach is client-centered, compassionate, and strengths-based, drawing on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness techniques.
Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with clients addressing a wide range of issues including identity exploration, coming out, relationship dynamics, anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly discuss their experiences and challenges without fear of judgment.
Outside of my professional life, I am an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and actively participate in community events and organizations. In my personal time, I enjoy painting, going to concerts, playing with my 4 cats, and spending time with my close-knit group of friends and family.
I believe that everyone deserves to live authentically and to thrive. I am here to support you on your path to mental wellness and to help you navigate the complexities of life with confidence and resilience.
