Taylor Sisson, LCSW
About me
Hi!! My name is Taylor Sisson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned by Master’s Degree in Social Work from Florida State University. I have 12 years of professional experience with a wide range of clinical populations, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
My areas of clinical interest include (but are not limited to) adjustment and life transitions, stress and anxiety, grief, caregiver issues, relationship issues, and mood disorders. My approach to therapy is one that puts a great emphasis on the “therapeutic relationship” between a client and myself. I have found that no therapy model or evidenced based practice can take the place of having a compassionate person that has a trained ear to listen attentively, accept you unconditionally, and partner with you to help you process and work through life’s difficulties. In addition to this emphasis on the therapeutic alliance, my clinical strengths include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychoeducation, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, camping, and enjoying nature.

Additional areas of focus: Abandonment, Attachment issues, Caregiver issues and stress, Guilt and shame, Mood disorders, Social anxiety and phobia
