Dr. Scott Butler
Hi, thanks for taking some time to get to know me. I am Dr. Scott Butler. I am licensed in Louisiana and Arkansas as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from LSU and a Master’s and Ph.D. in mental health counseling from the University of New Orleans. I've been offering counseling for over 30 years. I was married for 30 years and have three daughters; one is an attorney, one is a licensed professional counselor, working on her Ph.D. and my youngest is a junior in college. I have worked in many different mental health settings including hospitals, crisis intervention hotlines, non-profit organizations, as a preferred provider for local and state agencies and over 20 years in adoption and foster care work. I have been deemed an expert witness in criminal and civil cases and have authored one novel, king cake baby. I use a cognitive-behavioral theoretical approach to counseling which is a goal-oriented treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. I generally do 45 minute sessions. If interested in working with me, please provide your full name and an emergency contact name and number as this is required to facilitate professional counseling. Life can be difficult, right? Sometimes, despite our best intentions, we simply need someone to help guide us to a better place. I am a trained listener. I take in the information you provide and turn it back to you in a step by step approach to help you move beyond what brought you to me. Beginning this process with the right counselor helps you get better, faster. I hope to be that counselor.

I have over 14 years of combined therapy experience at the professional level and believe in the profession that I am licensed in which is social work. I believe in a client-centered perspective and derive my approaches from a variety of treatment modalities. Cognitive behavioral is a significant framework that I utilize but I believe that other approaches are also effective as sessions need to be tailored to the unique needs of the individual or clientele being served. I believe in true empathy, truly trying to understand my clients' perspectives and their insight into their lives. Each person I have counseled over the years and will be counseling have inherent worth, dignity and I believe in their abilities to improve in areas of self-direction and self-efficacy. Therapy is all about the client who is reading this right now, the therapist is simply a conduit to improve a person's ability to reorganize their life, to improve their internal locus of control, to help a client engage in goal-oriented behavior and be conscientious of the choices one is making in life on a regular basis. Cognitive behavioral methods consider irrational thought paradigms and help to counteract these cognitions or thoughts with more rational, counterbalancing, self-esteem enhancing thoughts and help a person to see the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
Laura Hall
Hello! My name is Laura and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arkansas. I have been working in the field of mental health for more than 10 years. I have experience working with individuals experiencing a variety of issues, such as addiction, depression and anxiety, stress-related issues, communication challenges, family conflict, bipolar, first episode psychosis and many more. I have worked in the school, community mental health, hospital, and private practice settings. My choice to work in this field comes from the belief that we all benefit from having someone listen, understand, and accept exactly where we are and offer the support necessary to improve the quality of life. With the outbreak of COVID-19 I became more concerned for people that were shut-in and not able to seek help in traditional settings. That is when I pursued my specialization for technology-assisted counseling. I believe in making goals that are realistic and personal to your values and lifestyle. I was able to pursue my passion to help people along their journey at Henderson State University where I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I would describe myself as open-minded and down-to-earth. I often times use a lot of examples to make my ideas into more practical and relatable. I have a great deal of respect for every walk of life and respect everyone’s journey. I appreciate the variety of cultures and have a great respect for a person’s right to hold their own values. I am known for creating a safe and welcomed space. This is your time to confront your goals. I am here to assist you in your mental health goals. I provide CBT, solution-focused, reality therapy, and person-centered strategies as my methodology. I am mostly available for live chat, but have some availability for live phone/video sessions on alternating weekends. You will have to get with me to see when those weekends are available. I am very responsive to messaging as I check my messages a MINIMUM of twice daily and respond when I can. I look forward to working with you!

Jeanie Shade
I am a licensed clinical social worker/therapist licensed in the states of Idaho, Montana, and Arkansas. I have 7 years of licensed experience and many years prior of serving people in different capacities. The majority of my licensed experience has been within a hospital setting for adults and adolescents with severe mental health issues. I have seen firsthand the incredible change that often occurs with a person given the opportunity to tell his/her/their story, be genuinely listened to, and be guided to the innate wisdom to wellness that already resides within. For the last two years, I have also been leading a group at my local library to teach mental health wellness skills to community members and providing a setting for the members to practice these new wellness skills. I really enjoy teaching skills that can be applied to all sorts of situations in life, no matter what your story or circumstances. My counseling style is based on being present with a client, not just hearing, but truly listening and being a witness to another. I will want to know what exactly a client wants to learn or resolve and I will provide guidance and insight and teach skills accordingly. I will also introduce ideas I consider foundational to wellness, including mindfulness, really leaning in and feeling our emotions, centeredness and grounding, self-love, the difference between surviving skills and thriving skills, and exploring beliefs and how they create our life stories. My approach combines client-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness therapy as we weave together practical behavioral approaches with deep insights into why we are the way we are and how this can transform. I am also a Certified Emotion Code Practitioner (CECP). The Emotion Code is a form of energy healing. Its premise is that we can trapped unprocessed emotions in as a "stuck" frequency in our energy bodies. As a practitioner, I can assist you in identifying trapped emotions, discovering when they were trapped and in response to what event, and then releasing the stuck energy with intention. You can learn more at Discover Healing (discoverhealing.com). You can view my certification at https://discoverhealing.com/certified-practitioners/. The BetterHelp platform offers you a great opportunity to try out an energy healing modality. I have the flexibility to combine Emotion Code work with a more traditional talk therapy session, or focus solely on Emotion Code one day and talk therapy another day. Give it a try! It takes courage to choose an opportunity for growth and change. I am here to join you on such a journey.

Therapy with a licensed counselor is effective and has the power to change individuals' lives. An experienced clinician can target various symptoms, experiences, and personalities to help you feel your best and put you on the path to healing. Mental health professionals are held by ethical standards through the American Psychological Association (APA) and are not allowed to judge or harm their clients.
