Eric Herpin
Hi Friend, This is a little about me. First and foremost I am a regular and down-to-earth guy. At times Counseling professionals and other helping professionals can can get reputations to "high and mighty", "up on a pedestal", or 'holier than thou". I am a regular 40 year old man who is balding and slightly overweight. I have made mistakes in my life as I'm sure you have. I do not have a magic wand to make your life better in a hurry. What I do have is an open ear, a caring heart, a good education, and about 15 years in counseling a wide variety of people and issues. Of these the most common issues I have helped others with are overcoming symptoms of depression, anxiety, addiction, and common family issues. As I mentioned earlier there is no magic to what I do but we can work toward goals and talk it out.

Meacco Verdun
Welcome, my name is Meacco and I am a licensed professional counselor and a board-certified coach in the state of Louisiana. I have over 15 years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked and volunteered in a variety of settings including an in-patient substance abuse treatment facility for women, hotline for suicide prevention and in high schools. I have the most experience dealing with anxiety, PTSD, family/relationships, life transitions, LGBTQ, identity issues and recently became a "Kink Informed" provider. I also have experience working with people suffering from depression and grief. I use a person-centered approach which means we’ll work on personal growth, development, help minimize feelings of distress, enhance our understanding of yourself and increase self-esteem. What you can expect from me is positive regard, empathetic understanding, and non-judgmental listening as we move towards working on the things you feel are the most important to you. I will encourage you to make the choices you feel comfortable making.

Drauzin Kern
My name is Drauzin Kern and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker. Over the past thirty 37 years, I have been fortunate to have worked closely with clients over a broad range of challenges including depression, coping with grief and loss, LGBTQIA+ related concerns, relationship issues, compassion fatigue and managing life-changes. I completed my graduate studies at Columbia University School of Social Work in New York in 1988 and I practiced psychotherapy in New York, California and Louisiana. My husband Nick and I currently make our home in South Louisiana, USA, along with our wonderful, Willis. Being a therapist is my life’s work. My intention is to meet every client with respect, understanding, compassion and without judgement. My theoretical approach incorporates Humanistic and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and I work collaboratively with every client to develop a treatment plan that will best address their needs. I have great admiration for every person that chooses the path of vulnerability when entering therapy. Vulnerability, according to Brene Brown, is STRENGTH. But it can take great courage to embrace our vulnerable humanity, but when we do, we are already on the path of transformation and joy. Vulnerability allows us to "speak our truth," and the TRUTH always sets us free. Best wishes!

Thank you so much for checking my profile, and congratulations on getting this far. Reaching out to a perfect stranger for help, from my experience, is never easy. Helping others make the changes they know they need to make still gives me great satisfaction after 37 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and as a Gestalt and NLP practitioner. I have worked in outpatient and inpatient mental health centers, addiction recovery centers, public and chartered schools, and in private practice for years. I recently retired from supervising new social workers for their licenses. I have seen and heard it all in my time as a therapist. So, have no concerns about sharing information with me whenever you feel comfortable. Also, I’m the author of "Healing Mind, Five steps to Ultimate Healing, Four Rooms for Thoughts: Achieve Satisfaction through a Well-Managed Mind” found on Amazon, Walmart and Barns & Noble, which directs the reader in how to be their own therapist. You can be assured that while working with me, you will be moving in the direction of self-empowerment. Being able to talk with someone who can understand the pain created by depression, anxiety, and loss can be very helpful. The type of sessions that we have will be based on your needs. We will start from where you are. Every client is different. Yet, we all have a part of ourselves that knows what we need to do or how we need to be. If you aren’t sure what changes you need to make, that may be where we start. Part of my job as a therapist is to help you find that part of yourself and give it a voice as you ground through your five senses. We are all working to make progress, not to become perfect. The perfect human does not exist. However, you are in the perfect place to take the next step on your way to a better life. I’m looking forward to hearing from you and being in touch.
