I tended to the emotional and spiritual needs of those suffering severe and often life-threatening circumstances. Caring for family and friends was frequently included. As a nurse I experienced the coming, going, and what's inside of humans pertaining to physical health. As a mental health therapist, I understand the realities of mental, emotional, and life crises. As a theologian, I understand religious traditions, belief systems and how these can be or in some cases are not spiritually comforting. Now you might be asking why I am telling you all this.
