Katharine Childress
For over 25 years I have had the privilege of supporting others in their journey toward awareness and self improvement. When we are open to looking at patterns of behavior we can uncover barriers to our ideal self. I utilize a Client Centered approach incorporating Solution Focused Brief Therapy and CBT. I enjoy working with people of all ages and I have experience working with clients in group homes, outpatient settings, crisis situations, families and couples to name just a few. Most recently I have become interested in the mind-body connection and using Mindfulness and meditation to improve that connection in my personal life and with clients. I have also been trained in hypnotherapy and use those skills as well as guided imagery to support my clients in achieving their goals. It is important to set goals that are achievable. If we create goals that are too big we run the risk of getting overwhelmed and giving up too quickly. I can help create small steps to goals to feel how success feels right from the beginning. I love what I do, helping support people on their journey and I look forward to working with you.

Amber Stark
Hey there. My name is Amber. I appreciate you taking the time to view my profile. I have been in the mental health field since 2006 and have been a licensed counselor in North Carolina since 2016. I am also a licensed professional counselor in Arizona. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2005 and a Masters of Arts in Counseling in 2015. I have had the opportunity over the years to support others with addressing concerns with depression, stress, anxiety, self-esteem, family conflicts, compassion fatigue, and parenting issues. It is important to take time to understand what is not working or is challenging. I want to really understand this from your perspective. I also want to learn about your strengths and what has worked for you in the past. Keeping this information in mind will help to develop a path to get you to your desired outcome. I have found that cognitive behavioral therapy is a helpful approach to address life challenges and/or circumstances. I have experience in other models/approaches as well and can adapt based on your needs. This is about you! I like to view a person as already having the solution within them. Perhaps they only need a little support and guidance to bring that to the surface. Most of the time we are stronger than we give ourselves credit for. Sometimes it is helpful to have someone alongside you to take those first steps. I offer to stand shoulder to shoulder with you in this journey.
