Janet Hardin
I am a clinical social worker licensed in Arizona with over 15 years of professional experience in therapy. Since I was a teenager, I have always wanted to work in a helping profession. I have had the benefit of attending a terrific Master's program in Social Work at Temple University. However, the people I have served along the way have been my greatest teachers in the quest for positive change in all our lives. The beginning years of my career were hands on with women's issues, substance abuse, hospice, community, and inpatient mental health as a mental health technician. I have also worked in a group home for developmentally delayed adults. Once I earned my clinical license, I provided individual and group counseling for adults focused on the wide range of human experiences. I have worked as a Clinical Director, Clinical Supervisor, and Therapist with adults of all ages. Over ten years have passed since my clinical licensing and I have enjoyed every one of my job experiences working one on one with people. As unique individuals entering a counseling alliance, beginning the therapy process is always a new adventure. I have been taught that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship we find together. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, and Reality based treatments, and I like to assign constructive homework between ongoing sessions. The world-renowned psychologist Dr. Carl Rogers suggested providing unconditional, positive regard when establishing the counseling relationship. In every new therapy alliance, I try to emulate his humanistic approach. Overall, my expertise lies in mental health and substance abuse counseling. I really enjoy positive psychology and I am told that I am caring, loving, and genuine. We are all in a new age, grappling with old and new issues. I would enjoy meeting you and working with you to move forward in a healthy way.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My years of experience comes from a variety of settings: outpatient treatment institutions, inpatient treatment institutions, and community based settings which have included one on one sessions. I utilize the following therapeutic approaches: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Strength based therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness. I have training and experiences working with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, anger issues, and addiction. Everyone has their own narratives/perspectives and I understand it can be challenging to be vulnerable with your thoughts and emotions but the reward of validating yourself can be most healing. I am confident I can teach you to identify and validate your emotions in a healthy manner. I can help and/or be that listening ear. Change is possible when you are willing to make a commitment to the process. I challenge you to be open minded and be courageous with me....

I believe the needs and abilities of each individual are different and work with you to determine what approaches and techniques are most in line with your needs and strengths. My goal through therapy is to empower and motivate you to make positive changes towards the goals established while we are learning how to have a better understanding of ourselves. In my work with individuals, teenagers, young adults, families and couples, I use an eclectic approach depending on what will be effective. This may include humanistic therapy, CBT, trauma recovery model, supportive therapy, psycho-dynamic, integrative and/or emotion focused therapy. Please reference the full list below of the different therapeutic approaches that I use depending on the goals that are established together in therapy. I specialize in the treatment of mood and adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss and PTSD. Prioritizing self first by focusing on building and/or strengthening your self-esteem, self-love, self-care, silencing inner critic and/or work towards finding your authentic self. Please see the full list below that outlines what areas of experience and focus items we can work towards together as a team. I recognize and respect the courage it takes to make that first step and seek help, and it is a privilege to me to accompany you/teen/couple/family on your journey.

Daniel Robb
Since 2005 I have worked with people struggling with addiction, depression, bipolar/mood disorder, stress/anxiety/fear, relationship problems, psychosis/schizophrenia, grief, anger, and communication problems. Let me help you - I have a relaxed but professional approach, and I prefer a solution - focused approach. The goal is to help you figure out how to get where you want to be in the here and now, not ruminate about what happened years ago. I utilize several evidence based approaches and techniques in my practice. If you have questions about specifics, please feel free to contact me to ask. It is essential to keep in mind that counseling is not a magic pill. Counseling is a process that requires participation and work from the patient and counselor alike. Change may not happen overnight, but it shouldn't take years, either. Making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results, as long as you are committed to the process and the work.

Shana Williams-Leary
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has worked over the course of 23 years in both inpatient Crisis and outpatient counseling settings with individuals, couples and families, ages 4 y.o. to 85 y.o. in Florida, Utah, Maine, Arizona, and several other countries. I am very versatile in my approach, tending to begin where you, the client are first, then tailoring my interventions from that point on. My specialty is in working with PTSD, i.e. abuse , and primary and secondary traumas. Relatedly, I am a Certified TIST [Trauma-informed Stabilization & Treatment] therapist, and have advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, including the Flash Technique. I have also frequently worked with the Chronically Mentally Ill person, including those with Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Dissociative issues, and Depression, as well as those in various Life Transitional stages, Ex Pats, HSPs, and Developmental delays. I have also counseled a few individuals with up to middle stage Dementia (since newer Rx leaves them with tremendous adjustment issues) and their caregivers and parents struggling with parenting issues. My highest comfort level is with ages 18 and over in Individual sessions. My counseling style is ecclectic, with a warmth of engagement and focus on acceptance, positive regard, and trust-building, but can be highly solution-focused and brief as needed in the course of your therapy. I use a Motivational Interviewing technique to identify both what it is the client truly desires, as well as what they do not want, or are not motivated to achieve, and why. I then will shift to a more Strengths-based and Skill-building approach and the use of Cognitive-Behavioral and Humanistic interventions with a Family Systems and Developmental perspective on relational issues. I have done my own personal counseling work, and recognize it to be a powerful, yet courageous endeavor in a person's life. Good therapy can transform you and it is a gift to be able to engage in it. Every person is precious, and deserving of respect, kindness, and a place to be fully heard, accepted, and a place to develop their best selves in a healing, compassionate environment. I consider my work as a therapist to be a sacred trust, a privilege, a calling, and part of my own journey as a fellow human being. Working with you will be an honor to help you on your very unique path toward a healthier you, and in the style you determine to be the most helpful and supportive.
