Alexander Yoo
Hello! You may not know me yet, but I'm looking forward to getting to know you. I use a change-oriented approach with a bent toward meaning-making and "the big questions" of life. I don't think BetterHelp really has the tools to do in-depth therapy work. Therefore, I tend to see my role here as more of a life coach. So for example, on any give day, would you like me to 1) listen and/or 2) give advice/feedback/opinions. It depends on what you’re needing in the moment. I'd like for you to get some relief and clarity in your life. Whatever your goals, or the life transitions you want to better understand, I can help you, regardless of your culture, your background, your politics, philosophy, or past. (Note: I am also an ordained clergyperson with a Master of Divinity MDiv degree, and a hospice chaplain. Faith/religion/spirituality or no, if you want to integrate that into our talks, great. If not, also great. I'm well-versed in many religions and philosophical approaches to existence, including earth-based and "alternative" belief systems, e.g., TST.) Talk soon, Alexander Yoo, MDiv, MA, LMFT

Claire Nana
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist with 18 years experience working as a psychotherapist and life coach. I work with a variety of concerns including trauma, addiction, body image and weight loss issues, relationship issues, and life purpose. I have also worked with many people recovering from mass traumas, such as school shootings. I have presented at International conferences and written 25 continuing education courses for psychotherapists. My goal is always to identify ways the practice of psychotherapy can be improved, and find new and innovative ways clinicians can help their clients. In my free time, I enjoy ultrarunning, bringing my three rescue horses up the levels in dressage and completing a long overdue manuscript. I believe in empowering my clients, treating them with respect, and honoring their life choices. I believe that the keys to improved mental health and happiness exist inside every client. My approach is existential in nature, and looks to help people find what is truly most important to them, and move in that direction. Together, I believe we can find a way to a fulfilling, rewarding, and meaningful life - regardless of what life has put you through. I look forward to working with you!

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with 7 years of professional work experience. My therapeutic approach is through a trauma informed lens. My primary theoretical approaches are Person-Centered, Attachment, and Psychodynamic with trainings in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and TF-CBT (Trauma Focused CBT). I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, & trauma and abuse. I have six years of experience as a mental health clinician where I primarily worked with families, teens, and young adults within a non-profit organization. Additionally, within those six years, I worked as a clinician at a high school, for four years, where I engaged with students in coping with mental health conditions that are common for that developmental stage due to stressors (e.g. depression, trauma, social anxiety, ADHD, ODD, and OCD), as well as collaborated with school staff in support of the students. In the last year of my professional experience, I transitioned to a private practice to continue to diversify and build on my current clinical experience working with clients ranging from ages 6 to 60. I have experience providing family, individual, and couple’s counseling. I focus on the therapeutic relationship where I connect with each of my clients personally through their interests, strengths, passions, and values. I prioritize establishing a safe space for people to be authentic and engage in self-exploration (i.e. who they are/how they want to show up in the world). I believe that if you carry your genuine self to any life role that decision-making, coping with mental health, family conflict, etc. will be more effectively navigated from a strong sense of self. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in navigating life challenges. Each person has the wisdom within to answer questions and navigate life – my role as a guide is to support and facilitate clients to build a healthy relationship with themselves and then with others. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
