Danielle Poehlman
My name is Danielle Poehlman and I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Many of my family members have suffered from addiction, mental illness and trauma. After losing two older siblings under complicated drug and mental health related circumstances, I decided to become a therapist. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Florida International University with a bachelor's degree in psychology, and obtaining a master's degree in mental health counseling from Capella University, this goal was finally achieved. Through my own personal growth and educational journey, I have implemented a variety of modalities to facilitate the wholistic healing of mind, body and spirit. I am a Certified Reiki Master with over 20 years of hands-on experience. I am knowledgeable on the concept of Highly Sensitive Persons or HSPs, (also known as Empaths), as I have found a large number of clients can be assisted profoundly with just simple education and practical coping strategies. My counseling style is motivational and strengths-based. My goal is to utilize profound understanding and my own empathic skills as supplements to psychotherapy in order to assist in the healing process. Through rapport and trust, we will work as a team to tailor treatment plans and therapeutic dialog to suit individual needs. I have assisted clients from a multitude of backgrounds and issues, including addiction, anxiety, grief/loss, abuse, trauma, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship issues (kink-friendly) and more. These issues do not discriminate. Those that appear the strongest often struggle the most. Those that appear joyful sometimes reach the depths of despair. There is no shame in asking for help; it is, in fact, one of the most courageous decisions you will ever make. Please reach out.

I earned a bachelors degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University and a masters degree from Nova Southeastern University. I hold the following credentials LMHC, MCAP, ACS, CGAC and I am a clinical member of the American Counseling Association, the Dialectical Behavior Therapy National Certification and Accreditation Association and EMDRIA as an approved provider respectively. The primary focus of my practice has been in addictions and co-occurring conditions working both with adolescents and adults; helping to manage all that accompanies a substance-related or addictive disorder. However I have worked with diverse populations and issues and am accustomed to working with clients in individual, family and group settings. I have helped clients successfully address a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, career challenges, gender identity and LGBTQI+ to name a few. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I practice a blended, technically eclectic model of evidence-based therapies with strengths-based philosophies. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, humanistic, solution focused counseling. LaVerne Kalafor
I love to help others deal with life challenges to help them feeling happy, productive and whole again. Using combined a client-centered, humanistic approach, I have had years of experience working with all ages and helped many deal with depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD and life transition issues. Positive psychology and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) are used to improve self-esteem, motivation and confidence. I include interpersonal hypnotherapy, guided meditation, EFT and mindfulness techniques to deal with anxiety, panic attacks, traumatic experiences, loss and grief. My view of therapy is that it is a joint process, taken at a pace that is comfortable for the person seeking services. Sometimes we just get stuck. Sometimes we just need to learn skills. Sometimes we just need someone outside of a situation to talk to for insight or support. What ever the issue, together we agree upon a plan based upon what is most pressing for you. I offer my knowledge and skills that I think would be most helpful to address your concerns, learn ways to make changes you want to make happen and move forward with life! I am here for you so take that first step and get in touch with me. I will be happy to answer you!

Kristian Wilson
Kristian received her Bachelor's degree at the University of North Florida followed by her Masters at Webster University. She engages others by building a rapport while also assisting her families to achieve set goals. She works with individuals ages 5-100, families, adolescents, drug addiction and parents who need guidance. Some specialty skills include problem-solving, communication, coping skills, and relaxation exercises for anxiety. Kristian focuses on the improvement, the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is an action-oriented form of psychosocial therapy that assumes that maladaptive, or faulty, thinking patterns cause maladaptive behavior and "negative" emotions. The treatment focuses on changing an individual's thoughts (cognitive patterns) in order to change his or her behavior and emotional state. I relish the prospect of working with others, both as part of a team working towards a common goal, and also working face-to-face with individuals and families from all walks of life to provide them with assistance.
