Ionela Lindsay
I am a licensed professional mental health counselor with experience in both a private and community mental health setting. I am also a certified yoga instructor, using a trauma informed approach to teaching yoga. I believe treatment should involve the whole person (physical, mental, and spiritual). Personal and professional history includes great exposure to a diverse set of life experiences and clientele. My focus is a client centered approach to therapy to help each individual live their best life and I believe, at our core, we all have the needed answers to our life's problems. My job is not to change or fix you; my job as a therapist is to bring those answers to the surface.

Heather Childs
HI, my name is Heather. I have experienced the benefits of counseling personally, and I understand the courage it takes to make the decision to take that first step, especially if the concept is new to you. My goal is to provide a comfortable and supportive environment for you. I work in a very empathic and non-judgmental manner. l I have worked in health care most of my life-first as an RN, and later as a Nurse Practitioner. I realized that many of my patients were struggling with stress, anxiety and depression, so I decided to become educated as a Psychotherapist. Since that time, I have been able to help many people suffering with these issues as well as those with PTSD. I have worked with people with traumas including those who have been sexually abused or assaulted. I use several therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, rapid resolution therapy, solution focused therapy and person centered therapy. I am also trained and certified as a life coach, which is helpful for people working on career goals as well as health issues and weight loss. Actually this is very helpful for everyone who wants to make positive changes in their life. If you feel stuck where you are in life, and want to move ahead, Coaching can help with that.

David Thomas
From the first breath of life to the last, relationship with others is a living passion. When relating becomes dysfunctional, life is turned inside out and upside down. Through practiced clinical skills, client sensitivity, and compassion born through faith, the therapeutic approach I bring to clients can foster a life-balance of living, loving, and relating once again, or for the first time ever. It can be a difficult task. I am here to help make it easier. In addition to a normal practice of building healthy relationships and families, I also specialize in working with children and adolescents experiencing trauma and crisis. I also provide Prolonged Exposure Therapy for adults suffering with PTSD resulting from domestic violence, sexual abuse, combat, or first responder situations. Efficacy of treatment is validated and enhanced in my practice through purposeful utilization of quality assessment tools. These tools help take the guess work out of diagnosis and treatment, and help facilitate a brief therapy approach, reducing therapeutic involvement and investment from months of work to a matter of weeks. On a personal note, I have been married for 46 years and have two wonderful adult children and two fabulous grandsons! I hold a Master of Church Music degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Psychology Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Palm Beach Atlantic University. I have a pet cat named Soxy, who loves me as much as I love her!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. My background has been diverse on the journey to becoming a therapist. My first degree is in Christian Counseling and Bible. I was a cross-cultural therapist and Relational Minister in Bulgaria for about 5 years. During this time, I really dove into concepts such as "doing flows from being" and "life is a relationship process." When I returned to the US, I later used that education to segue into Case Management for adoptions and other family related issues. During that time, I saw a focus on strength-based services and Solution Focused Therapy. Over the years, I began to recognize that my ability to help as a case manager had limitations and I went back to school to get my MSW and ultimately my licensure as an LCSW. My experiences have led me to believe that in almost every instance, we become who we are because of our experiences. And in that vein, I have also become a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I began to notice that many of my clients have experienced trauma, loss, and dissociation. Struggle for identity, dysphoria, and a need for self-worth are also common themes. I approach therapy from a stance of warmth and acceptance. If you are ready to work, let's get started!
