Nicole Nonclerc
My name is Nicole Nonclerc, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Master's Level Certified Addictions Professional (MCAP), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Florida with 10+ years' experience in mental health and addiction treatment. I have worked with clients of all ages, from early childhood through elderly adults, and am comfortable treating a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders. I have also helped clients who need assistance navigating difficult systems of care such as drug court, DCF agencies, and foster care. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at Florida State University, and my Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. My counseling style tends to be solution-focused and interactive. I believe that, although a therapist does bring skills and techniques to the sessions, clients are still the experts of their own lives and solutions should fit within the client’s unique lifestyle, values, and views. My approach combines multiple therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral, motivational enhancement, and humanistic approaches in order to create a unique plan of action for each client. I recognize that making the decision to pursue counseling as a method of making positive changes in your life is daunting, but if you are ready to improve your life, even if you’re not sure where to begin, then I am happy to support and encourage you along this journey! Please note, due to conflicts of interest, I will not treat anyone who is living in, has a civil or legal case in, or is associated in any way with Hillsborough County, Florida.

Hello! I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of Florida. I earned my Bachelor's degree from Brandeis University and completed my Master's degree at Florida International University. I spent much of my career in the non profit arena, working with children, adults and families experiencing a wide range of challenges. I have also supervised therapists and program directors. In addition to clinical activities, I was very involved with continuous quality improvement and quality assurance. This experience allowed me to ensure clinical services were effective, efficient and in compliance with best practice standards. Since there is really not one right way to conduct therapy, it is crucial to monitor the therapeutic interventions to make sure they are effective for each person and his or her unique situation. I am a very warm and caring person, and this can be seen during our first interaction. I truly value the individual and the situations they are currently addressing. Besides the warm and fuzzy , I am also able to view situations objectively and sensibly. I think quickly and positively. I believe in solution focused interventions, and utilize techniques from various approaches to reach goals in a timely manner; including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Didactic Behavioral (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic, Person Centered and Holistic. I am down to earth and have a great sense of humor too. (We all need to laugh sometimes!)
