The most important thing about me as a therapist is my hope and belief in all of my clients. Recognizing that you're unhappy and want to make changes is one of the biggest challenges, and you're here! Let's talk more, and we can work together to move forward as partners in this process. Therapy with me is a safe place to unload all the things life throws your way, and I'll provide genuine and real communication about what's going on. We'll talk about practical ways to change those thoughts and your life. As a therapist, I like to remember and remind myself that my clients know their lives and themselves better than I do, and my role is to walk alongside you as you work through different challenges you're experiencing. I view my role as more of a navigator and you're in the driver's seat. During my time with older teens and adult individuals, my style is very person-centered, meaning I'll meet you where you are and not expect you to know things that youhaven't experienced, and we'll walk through it together, honestly and openly. I'm also a very solution-focused person, and try to bring this into my sessions as well, helping you find solutions for issues, so that it doesn't feel that you're running around in circles without making progress. I know your time is important, and you want to feel that you're getting something from every conversation we have. I'm not afraid to pull from many different counseling modalities in order to best serve your needs, and I love learning new ways to tackle problems. A strong therapeutic relationship is ultimately the most important part of therapy in order to progress through the therapeutic process. This means that you are comfortable sharing your life and thoughts with me and I understand where you are coming from and hear your concerns. One thing that might set me apart, is that I realize the importance of our whole experiences, meaning that we'll talk not only about what's going on in your mind, but also the other aspects of life (diet, exercise, sleep). A huge part of managing mental health, not only for you but for me as well, is having a good balance of these as well as coping skills to help manage depression, anxiety, mood and stress. My name is Meghan, and I'm a licensed mental health counselor working in the state of Florida. I graduated from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!) in 2009 and have been working as a therapist ever since. I started my career working with children and families in the community setting and homes, worked in the school setting with at-risk teenagers, and most recently I see clients, aged 12-30, in my private practice. In my personal life, I like to spend time with my family and two dogs, Omar and Olive, read, bike and run, and visit the beach. I also love to travel, experience new things and meet new people.

Meaghan Campbell
Welcome! I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) in Florida, where I have been working professionally since 2014. My expertise has run the gambit from supplemental counseling utilizing animals as therapeutic tools, assessing and psychoeducating individuals involuntarily committed into inpatient facilities, and supporting incarcerated persons in learning to move on from poor decisions. I have worked with those who nearly lost hope in being able to live a gratifying and fulfilled life as a result of being diagnosed with psychiatric disorders, experiencing the negative consequences of impulsive choices, and coping with obstacles beyond their control. I truly believe all life experiences and personal qualities can be used as strengths and gifts, as long as you are viewing them from the right perspective. It is my goal as a counselor to provide the support, education, and confidence necessary in order for my clients to find their “right” perspectives. I tend to primarily operate within the experiential therapeutic modality in my practice; meaning, I subscribe to the belief where the work and growth is most effective when done in the “here and now.” While I employ tools and techniques from a multitude of other psychological models, such as CBT, solution-focused, humanistic, psychodynamic, behavioral, and emotional theories in my craft; I feel sessions are most impactful when my clients are able to experience positive gains in the present moment. Even though I counsel through an experiential lens, I practice with the conviction where the therapeutic relationship is most successful when it is person-centered. This means I meet my client where they are cognitively, emotionally, and in their willingness to change. You are the expert in yourself, and I am the expert in making myself the best “tool” with regard to empowering you to become your “best” self. The counseling field has allowed me to seamlessly merge several of my passions: helping people, learning, and tackling challenges. In order to be the best therapist I am capable of being, I regularly attend classes, read pertinent literature, and network with peers in my field. This allows me to stay up to date on the most current tools, techniques, ethical, and legal guidelines in the therapeutic discipline. In my experience, counseling is most productive when it is being done in a safe and supportive environment. With that in mind, I always encourage my clients to remember these are their sessions, so I welcome all feedback regarding what is and is not helpful to them. While I encourage my clients to remain unguarded and honest in their communication with me, I also urge them to be open-minded to exploring and learning alternative viewpoints. I endorse the belief where human beings are meant to continue growing throughout the entirety of their lives in order to experience all of the benefits their world has to offer. I feel honored when someone trusts me with being able to facilitate them in achieving their goals and creating their desired life. I would feel privileged should you choose me to assist you in doing the same! I am very much excited to start working with you now, and in the future!

I have a foundational belief that no one deserves to be alone on their healing journey. My name is Amie Dunn. I have spent the last 25 years dedicated to helping individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. I obtained two master’s degrees, one in Cognitive and Behavioral Disabilities as well as in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation. I am furthering my studies as well with a doctoral program with a PhD in Psychology and am eager to complete that journey, reaching a very personal goal after my own traumatic event rocked my life. My post-graduate work has allowed me to specialize in trauma, with certifications in Sexual Abuse, Play Therapy, and Art therapy. I hold certifications in specific modalities including Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention Therapy, Trauma Informed Consent Therapy, and Child Adoptions Related Therapy, Mindfulness and Certified Professional Life Coaching. I am a Preferred Provided for the Department of Children and Families/Child Protective Services Division program. My specialized skill sets have also led me to be a sworn in expert witness for Pinellas. Hillsborough, Pasco, and Hernando Counties, respectively. For the past twenty-five years, I have dedicated myself to working with military veterans, children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling with trauma. I look forward to the opportunity of hearing your story. I approach each individual with respect, reliability and real-life experiences resulting in a level of respectable relatability. No one person fits in a square box and can find all the answers from a textbook. As a Play Therapist I seek healing for others outside the norms of traditional counseling. I believe it has to hit home and be real, truly real for trust and safety to build. This is the place where each client feels empowered to use their voice! It is my honor to offer services helping individuals seeking to find hope and healing. Everyone deserves support in their healing journey and should never feel alone. My hope and commitment to each of my clients is for every single person to have the life they want and so deserve.

How am I supposed to watch college football and not drink beer? "It just feels like nothing is going to be ok and I don't know why." These are examples of things that I not only hear from patients and clients but that I have experienced myself. I know the feeling of dreading lying down to try to go to sleep. Feeling disconnected from, and scared of your world but trying to do your best to get things done is no way to go through life. The only way out is through, but how does one "go through"? That is where good counseling becomes invaluable. I used to believe that knowledge would solve my own mental health issues but I now know that knowing is only a small part of healing. The art of learning how to change requires much more than just knowledge or a degree. Knowing what questions to ask, what someone can handle, and giving an actionable item every session are ways that I can help you. I know it's tough, but the best way to get better is to meet issues head-on with the help of someone who not only knows therapy techniques but has been where you are. When someone shares about their anxiety or struggles with drinking, I can feel their angst and I know what works and what doesn't. I've experienced career anxiety and existential crisis that led me to become a therapist in my 40's after a successful career in music. I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with both inpatient and outpatient clinical experience with couples individuals and couples with issues ranging from anxiety and depression to substance use, to grieving the loss of a pet. If you feel like you just "can't get right", please reach out.
