Mycah Whiting
Hello there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in GA, and I have been providing counseling as a licensed therapist for over 9 years. My passion as a therapist stems from my own family experiences with mental health, and an innate empathic and intuitive ability for others My therapy background consists of experience with a variety of life issues- which include, depression, anxiety, anger management, substance abuse, trauma, marriage and family counseling, and life coaching. I also specialize working with women in recovery from addiction and trauma. My approach to counseling is person-centered. I believe that your needs and goals are specific to you, and therefore cannot be automatically addressed using one mode of therapy. I work with a range of therapy modalities, and will work with you, the client, to identify the best methods to help you reach your goals. While working together my goal is to create a supportive and expansive space for you to process and explore. When your time in therapy is paired with a willingness to do the hard but rewarding self-reflective work, it can be a remedy that provides ultimate healing and growth. My hope is that our time together will provide invaluable insight into who you are and who you desire to be. It would be my honor to walk alongside you in this process, and in helping you identify the remedies for your life. I look forward to working with you!

Shirnel Alleyne-Grant
Hello!! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia for the past 14 years. My professional experience began in mental health hospitals with children and young adults who were experiencing extreme trauma and eventually a Care Manager for managed care companies. I later opened a private practice called My Caring Counseling that allowed me to have a creative platform for my clients who needed a space to feel comfortable and safe to express themselves and heal. My experience is primarily with clients who are struggling with depression symptoms, life stressors, anxiety, coping with unexpected life changes, self esteem issues, interpersonal and relationship challenges and couples who are struggling with fertility issues. My theoretical orientation is an eclectic approach to healing and treatment. My techniques include motivational interviewing, a wholistic approach to include mindfulness techniques, movement-therapy to enhance the person’s cognitive, physical, mental and emotional wellbeing, solution-focus therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. My style is very warm, caring and open, being attentive and listening closely to your needs. I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves and make the changes we seek within our lives and I am here to help you navigate through this process. As a therapist from a culturally diverse background I am committed to include all culturally diverse groups of young adults, older adults and couples. I completed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion training to ensure my therapeutic approach is tailored appropriately and includes everyone. It is important to remain aware and sensitive to the needs of my clients. I am excited to be your therapist and help you navigate your life's journey.
