Therapy is an invitation to a safe, compassionate, healing and reassuring space where you can be truly heard. This allows me to understand you and to help you heal the emotional wounds of the past and present, and break old patterns, to create a more fulfilling, joyful, successful and abundant life. My dominant treatment modalities are always person centered with a strengths perspective. I am adept at Cognitive/Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Psychodynamic Approaches, Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I have specialized training in trauma and integrated health (addresses both mental and physical health). I work with clients in a respectful, collaborative way that often even allows us to have some fun in the process. In my therapeutic career, I have helped many people: • Overcome depression, anxiety and anger • Heal from a legacy of dysfunctional families, abusive relationships, illnesses and trauma • Live an authentic personal and professional life that is reflective of their deeper values and passions • Gain confidence and clarity to make important life decisions • Cope with extensive medical issues (including chronic pain) As an LCSW licensed in Georgia, I bring over 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. I possess a BA from Georgia State University and a Master’s Degree from the University of Georgia. I am committed to staying adept in the latest and best evidence based approaches to treatment and I always seek out training opportunities that will help me to help my clients. It has been one of my greatest honors to be able to provide people with the compassionate care that they deserve. Often the first step seems the most difficult, yet for most people like yourself, that first step can lead to a sense of liberation and a breath of fresh air as challenges are brought out into the light.

Welcom to my page! Thank you for being here :). My approach is about helping people make room for change in their lives. My personal and professional journey has centered on transformation and growth in people. I believe that our experiences and traumas are a result social interactions in our daily environments. This belief informs my therapeutic style, which tends to be collaborative, casual and conversational. While therapy is typically viewed as deep and serious, I think it should be cathartic and enjoyable. My focus is on how people can negotiate relationships and daily environments in a way that is healthy and minimizes harm to themselves and others. These environments include, but are not limited to the following: home, school, work, social media, the public, family, spirituality, etc. Therapy is a major step toward taking responsibility for oneself and their space in the world. My effectiveness lies in my intuitive skills and awareness of how our sociopolitical landscapes affect our lives. This includes the influences of social media, popular culture, and the current financial and political climate. Nothing happens in a vacuum and no one is truly alone. Ultimately, I strive to make the experience invaluable. That means making sure clients implement the skills to address their issues and see marked improvement in their lives.

I am a counselor licensed in Georgia, Louisiana, and New Jersey with more than ten years of experience working in the community, school districts, college campuses and vocational rehabilitation agencies. I have worked with clients regarding disability, stress and anxiety, immigration, mens issues, career and life transitions, relationships, motivation and confidence issues. I also spent six years living in Colombia working with intercultural heterosexual and gay couples, as well as US expats and volunteers orientating to life abroad. My counseling style is laid back and interactive. My humanistic theoretical framework for therapy is shaped by Adlerian psychology, which is one of growth and social interest. I also work with solution-focused and developmental approaches to meet your individual needs. Alfred Adler believed that mentally healthy people strive to master their basic life tasks that represent the challenges of work, friendship, love/intimacy. Your motivation to seek therapy demonstrates it. Count on my support and empowerment when you are ready to take that step. I look forward to working with you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been working in the field for over 30 years. In my career I have worked in many different settings with many different populations. I have come to believe that most of us struggle in life due to our environment not fitting us. We do also have a history and that is relevant and critical to where we are at this point in our lives. How we navigate the world we find ourselves in at the present is critical. To be plain we all need to understand our nature. Each one of us has strengths and weaknesses. Depending on the setting sometimes what is a strength in one area becomes a weakness in another. And of course the reverse is also true. I jokingly tell people that we all need to figure out what is our ice cream flavor. I see no reason to contribute to peoples feelings that they have something wrong with them. Or that they are not normal. We simply are healthy in our lives or we feel unhealthy in our own lives. My goal is to help people figure out what will make them healthy. Most answers are right in front of us and they make sense when someone help us see them. My style is straight forward, but hopefully not rude or cruel. I strive to help everyone feel hopeful and empowered. I will explain in as much detail as desired about why I think the way I do about any issue. People want to feel progress so I attempt to help them move forward as quickly as possible. There is no magic. If whatever i say doesn't make sense then challenge me. My goal is to simple help you meet your goal. My primary intervention style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I borrow from many other styles when i feel it is appropriate, but I find that CBT is the most logical framework to best help people. My areas of expertise: ADHD Depression Anxiety OCD Relationship Issues Parenting issues Grief Behavioral Problems Other areas of experience include: I also work a great deal with LGBTQ issues, Work place issues, PTSD, Military and Veterans Issues. I also work with anger issues, divorce issues, and co-parenting problems. I have seen a lot of things in 30 years. If someone wants to find out if I have worked with their issue and I am comfortable helping them I welcome them contacting me to ask.

Hi, my name is Tracey, and I have been practicing for over 20 years. I specialize in treating Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have enjoyed working with children, adolescents, families and young adults for the duration of my career, and I have enjoyed working with LGBT clients for the last ten years. In addition, I have done faith based counseling per client request. Each of these groups of people has unique needs and strengths, and I try to make sure their treatment plans reflect that. I typically use a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ERP - Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Humanistic Client Centered Therapy and Family Therapies. I have used certified therapy dogs in my practice for the last 15 years, and I have enjoyed seeing so many clients benefit from animal assisted therapy. Most of my therapy dogs have been labradors or golden retrievers, and they have all been rescued. Outside of work I enjoy reading, yard work, home improvement projects, thrifting, hiking, and visiting the beach. I learn just as much from my clients as I have from my professional education and training. In fact, I am humbled and grateful to have gone along the therapy journey with so many clients.
