Thank you for your interest and congratulations in taking the first steps in reaching your goals and making the changes you want to make! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in the states of Georgia and Washington and live in GA so I am in the EDT timezone. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, life transitions, work related stress, parenting challenges, ADHD, and Autism. I believe that counseling can provide education, support and a plan for the direction you would like to go. Therapy is a safe place where you can explore many emotions, fears and patterns of behavior that are preventing you from healing yourself and living a life where you are content and at peace. Any answers you need about how to live the life that is going to bring you fulfillment, joy and peace, are within you. Healing requires action. You can heal yourself with some bold and decisive moves. Counseling can provide a plan of action. If you are dealing with life transitions, stress, depression or anxiety, it is time to get real with yourself and deal with anything that isn't serving you. Commit to feeding thoughts, words and actions that are going to lead to joy and growth. My approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral. This simply means that as we discuss what brings you to therapy I may focus on the two things. First the cognitive piece: what are you thinking or what are thoughts/beliefs that you have that aren't working for you and how do we change those. Then, the behavioral piece: what are things you keep doing that's not working for you and how do we change those. I am a support person for you as you determine what your goals are and we develop a plan on how to get there. I look forward to working with you!

Hello, My name is Eve Pearson-Marcus. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia since 2009 and have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I’ve worked in hospitals, primary care clinics, met with clients in their homes, worked for a non-profit agency and counseling center, worked with soldiers and veterans in military settings, and had a private practice. In addition to my LCSW, I have also had a National Association of Social Work Advanced Credential in Case Management (C-ASWCM) in the past. That’s a fancy way of saying I’m good at connecting people with the resources they need! I would describe my primary therapeutic style as Person-Centered, but also may use Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Solution-focused, Eclectic, & Feminist theories at times. I have worked with a great variety of clients including individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBT issues, drug and alcohol issues, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and attention deficit, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorders. I have also worked with individuals with Highly Functioning Autism ( formerly Asperger’s Syndrome) personality disorders, sexual disorders including paraphiliacs, and pedophilia. I’ve worked with many women during my career as a therapist and have always found it especially fulfilling to work with young people. Perhaps it’s because I was once a young woman facing many challenges of my own, or that I have two daughters of my own. I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to feel alone when you’re depressed, anxious, or in emotional pain of any kind. Whatever you are feeling, believe me, your issues are very real. I commend you for seeking help, because it’s not an easy thing to do. People of all ages are struggling with careers, job loss, and financial worries. Loneliness is epidemic and was especially difficult during the pandemic as people were separated from important family, personal, and work relationships. I believe in helping my clients bring their strengths forward and into the light. While it can be difficult, if not impossible, to acknowledge your strengths when you’re depressed, I can assure you everyone has strengths. We all need extra support at some point in our lives and I feel counseling should be as natural as going to the doctor, or even taking a college course. We are meant to always be learning, evolving, and improving ourselves. Lastly, I am confident in my ability to help my clients and have an excellent clinical toolbox to share. I commit to providing my clients with a strong system of support, and will always provide an accepting, non-judgmental, caring and safe environment.

Greetings! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Georgia. I am originally from New York and have over 12 years of counseling experience. I have and continue to work with clients who have had challenges with anxiety, depression, relationships, military families, parenting, foster care, changing careers, domestic violence, trauma, and emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I am committed to helping everyday people who experience everyday problems. I believe in allowing clients to set their own treatment goals and help them when they are unable to identify where to begin. I use humor and a gentle, yet direct approach during therapy. I pull from various theories to help clients but focus on how one’s thoughts, feelings and actions are connected and play a role into maladaptive behaviors. I enjoy engaging clients in the therapeutic process using various tools, therapeutic activities and homework assignments for clients who need "a little something extra". Please take a moment to read my testimonials! It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change.
