Chelsea Edwards
Hi there! My name is Chelsea, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in both the states of Georgia and Connecticut. Ever since I was a little girl I can remember always wanting to help others. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a loving home with two caring and supportive parents that always encouraged me no matter what. I have always been so thankful for this, and have a passion for giving others the same support and encouragement that I was able to have throughout my life. I got into this field because I wanted to give back! While pursuing my Bachelors degree in Psychology, my love for Marriage and Family therapy was formed after learning more about individuals, couples, and family systems. I went on to pursue a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and through my trainings there, I found that this field not only focused on helping individuals, but also focused a lot on an individuals background, the many systems that they are apart of, and the way that these systems can help shape them into the person they are today. I strongly believe that effective therapy includes understanding the world that the individuals you work with are apart of! My earliest experiences in the field consist of working in group home environments with troubled youth and adolescents ages 14-22 presenting with diagnoses like depression, anxiety, A.D.H.D., and also showed some early signs of certain personality disorders like bipolar and borderline, PTSD. I have also worked with youth that have experienced past sexual abuse and physical abuse/neglect by their caregivers. I additionally have 3 years of in home therapy experience working with both youth and families in crisis. I have had opportunity to work with adults ages 18+ in an outpatient setting, as well as in the communities, and in their homes. The adult population that I served presented with issues like anxiety, depression, substance abuse, homelessness, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. My counseling style can be described as warm, interactive, and innovative. My favorite part about the work that I do is being able to watch the individuals that I serve make positive changes right before my eyes! I am a huge encourager, motivator, and especially passionate about supporting individuals through life stage transitions. I am friendly, open, and provide a non-judgmental space. I believe my strongest qualities are patience, empathy, and understanding. I also believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines techniques from models like Strategic, Structural, and Solution Focused therapy, however I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling, happier lifestyle and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to hearing from you soon! -Chelsea
Mark Mazzoni
Hello, my name is Mark and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia. I have been working in mental health for twenty years. I have raised five children and have a lot of life experience in addition to my professional training. My Bachelor's Degree is in Religious Studies and my Master's Degree is in Community Mental Health Counseling. I have two years of training in Christian Counseling where I was certified through my church. My counseling approach is one of collaboration. We will work as a team and put our minds together to find solutions. Once the problem is identified we can come up with a set of steps with small goals along the way to achieve. When you achieve a goal we will make a new one to get you another step closer to your end goal and a successful/desired outcome. As part of the work we do I will likely assign homework to complete between sessions and sometimes I will challenge you with a therapeutic task. Part of your job in our work together is to be as open and honest with me as you can. If you are having a bad day I want to know about it. My role as a therapist is to listen to you in a non-judgmental way, provide unconditional support, and be genuine and authentic at all times. Together we will create a plan to tackle problems one by one. We will prioritize what is most urgent and start there. I believe people can/will get better when they work at it regardless of the challenge they face. I use elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Adlerian Psychology primarily when helping in addition to Spiritual Therapy for my Christian clients that request it. I am a natural encourager and believe in my client’s ability to improve. Years of experience working with all age groups, in varied settings and diverse populations providing therapy for clients with severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders has prepared me to help if given the chance. I look forward to working with you!

Eve Marcus
Hello, My name is Eve Pearson-Marcus. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia since 2009 and have worked in a variety of clinical settings. I’ve worked in hospitals, primary care clinics, met with clients in their homes, worked for a non-profit agency and counseling center, worked with soldiers and veterans in military settings, and had a private practice. In addition to my LCSW, I have also had a National Association of Social Work Advanced Credential in Case Management (C-ASWCM) in the past. That’s a fancy way of saying I’m good at connecting people with the resources they need! I would describe my primary therapeutic style as Person-Centered, but also may use Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Solution-focused, Eclectic, & Feminist theories at times. I have worked with a great variety of clients including individuals with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, LGBT issues, drug and alcohol issues, schizophrenia, eating disorders, and attention deficit, and attention deficit-hyperactivity disorders. I have also worked with individuals with Highly Functioning Autism ( formerly Asperger’s Syndrome) personality disorders, sexual disorders including paraphiliacs, and pedophilia. I’ve worked with many women during my career as a therapist and have always found it especially fulfilling to work with young people. Perhaps it’s because I was once a young woman facing many challenges of my own, or that I have two daughters of my own. I completely understand how overwhelming it can be to feel alone when you’re depressed, anxious, or in emotional pain of any kind. Whatever you are feeling, believe me, your issues are very real. I commend you for seeking help, because it’s not an easy thing to do. People of all ages are struggling with careers, job loss, and financial worries. Loneliness is epidemic and was especially difficult during the pandemic as people were separated from important family, personal, and work relationships. I believe in helping my clients bring their strengths forward and into the light. While it can be difficult, if not impossible, to acknowledge your strengths when you’re depressed, I can assure you everyone has strengths. We all need extra support at some point in our lives and I feel counseling should be as natural as going to the doctor, or even taking a college course. We are meant to always be learning, evolving, and improving ourselves. Lastly, I am confident in my ability to help my clients and have an excellent clinical toolbox to share. I commit to providing my clients with a strong system of support, and will always provide an accepting, non-judgmental, caring and safe environment.

How do I know if online counseling is right for my family in Pinehurst?
One of the potentially rewarding aspects of working with a therapist is the validation and active listening they can provide. Your friends and loved ones may also be available to listen, but you may feel that they may lack the skills to provide objective guidance. Counselors are trained to respond to various concerns, symptoms, and mental health conditions.
Therapists in your city can support you toward a healthier emotional state, regardless of your mental health, life concerns, or healing needs. While supporting individuals in developing healthier habits, another good benefit of Pinehurst therapy is having an understanding, safe space with a non-judgmental party who can support you through challenging experiences.
Many people have sensitive topics that they may feel ashamed to discuss with their friends or partner. A therapist can help you confront these concerns and open up through unique methods of support. There are also many types of therapy, such as art therapy, where you may find you can express yourself through creativity instead of words with a psychotherapist.
With a lot of people in GA, therapists may be booked out with clients. Through the list of profiles above and others within BetterHelp's team, you may be able to find a psychologist within 24 to 48 hours. If you're searching to find a a nearby psychotherapist close to 31070 or the surrounding zip codes, consider others available through the BetterHelp site where you can schedule a session based on your and the therapist's schedule. Should I find a therapist or psychologist for therapy if I feel fine?
Some simply don't feel the need to see a psychologist. However, some people may avoid attending therapy due to stigma or preconceived notions of what it might entail. Although psychologists often support people with mental health conditions, you do not need a diagnosis or specific condition. You can discuss grief, relationship concerns, stress, or life changes and ask for general feedback. A Pinehurst licensed clinical social worker may help you gain power over your life and emotions while you navigate day-to-day experiences.
Gaining a new perspective on yourself through various therapies might allow you to improve your self-esteem, work through relationships, and gain a better sense of your mental health goals. The success you may find with a Pinehurst counselor can be dependent on your process.
People may also attend therapy for specific motives, such as bullying, an autism diagnosis, a desire to learn mindfulness meditation, personality concerns, trouble with office workers, specific phobias, and many other principles that a counselor can help with.

Is mental health care and therapy with a therapist worth it?
Therapy with a licensed counselor is effective and has the power to change individuals' lives. Each client is at a different stage of their emotional healing journey in life, as each human can be unique in their personality, expression, skills, and goals. An experienced clinician can target various symptoms, experiences, and personalities to help you feel your best and put you on the path to healing. Unlike advice from a friend, family, or non-professional, a mental health therapist has an understanding of various disorders like ADHD and depression with many hours of experience in treating adults in their practice. For this reason, seeing an evidence based licensed clinician in Pinehurst, Georgia can be worth it. Over 41 million adults in the US attend therapy services each year, showing it's a popular option and is proven to be effective.
Pinehurst has many clinicians who practice person or client-centered individual therapy in-person and through online sessions to assist clients in their healing journey. If you opt into online therapy, you might also be able to meet with providers all over the United States and change easily at any time. Do therapists judge you in therapy sessions during telehealth appointments?
The boundaries between you and a therapist are in place to help you and them regarding ethical concerns. Mental health professionals are held by ethical standards through the American Psychological Association (APA) and are not allowed to judge or harm their clients. If you are concerned about sharing details about yourself, feel free to withhold personal information. Their job in the therapeutic relationship is to create a safe place, help you gain a deeper understanding of your mental health, and support you. You might consider changing counselors if you don't feel safe or respected.
