You are AMAZING and today through your search for clarity and hope through counseling starts your new journey. I have been providing counseling services for 13 years and enjoy working as a counselor helping improve others. I look forward to working with individuals & couples that are interested in working collaboratively together creating positive changes and enhancing their everyday lives. We may not be able to change the difficult situations of the past but we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges. Using complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. I offer a non-judgmental relaxed beautiful environment where clients needs are the number one priority. As a fully licensed experienced counselor I provide services for, individuals, families, couples, and children to help resolve any life stressors that have impacted their quality of life. You don't have to be alone I am here to help! I am hear to help and support you whether your dealing with relationship difficulties, parenting, grieving a loss, navigating a job or career transition, finding ones true purpose, or dealing with depression, identity issues, weight gain/loss, anxiety or any other mental health stressors. My job is not to change my clients but to help them become their version of their best self.

Cheryl Van Dyke
EMDR Therapist Hello! My name is Cheryl and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in the helping profession. I am also an ACE Certified Health Coach. The modality of therapy that I use is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which is a specialized, structured form of therapy that helps provide relief from trauma and difficult past situations that remain unresolved. EMDR therapy has significant scientific evidence to prove its effectiveness. A good candidate for this therapy is one who commits to weekly sessions, is not actively abusing any drugs or alcohol, and is not experiencing suicidal thoughts or have a history of suicide attempts. (Please note that those who do CAN benefit from EMDR in face-to-face sessions not virtual). I consider myself to be open, honest, and non-judgmental and believe that a sense of humor is an essential component of dealing with life’s challenges (and like to sprinkle a little of this into sessions every now and then!) I’m originally from Upstate New York and have lived in the Southeast the past 19 years. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the State University of New York at Oneonta and have also received advanced training in health coaching, mindfulness, and EMDR I look forward to working with you!
