Ron is an ordained minister holding two master’s degrees one in counseling and one in ministry. Ron has been providing mental health counseling since 1988. Ron specializes in working with people with sexual acting out behaviors, sex addiction, chemical dependency, and anger outburst. Ron has presented at national conferences and conducted numerous workshops on the effective treatment and intervention with adults with sexual maladaptive behaviors. Ron has designed and written residential and outpatient treatment programs for adults with sexual maladaptive behaviors and batterers intervention. I began working in the field at a VA Hospital Indiana psychiatric unit at the age of 18. My official first mental health job was at a psychiatric inpatient unit in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1977 when I was 22. From there I was hired at the local mental health center and worked the next 40 years. I retired in from my job of 40 years in 2018 but have continued to do private practice. I have a passion to work with people who need therapy. I am excited to keep working in the field of counseling. My specialties include, trauma counseling, grief work, anxiety disorders, depression and LGBTQ issues. I specifically love to take Trauma cases and people who have anxiety disorders. Since the pandemic began, I have done Telehealth services from my home and in the private practice office. Better Help with its focus on telehealth is the perfect place for me to work.
