"There can be no transforming of darkness into light ... without emotion." -Jung Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the core of my training. It embraces the belief systems of the past that affect your present. It's a state-of-mind that defines thinking that affects emotional awareness. To become aware is not to change, but to understand and accept. Carrying guilt or shame of the past, triggers the conflict of now. I don't offer advice - I offer choices - a chance to choose your own method of healing that fits you - not something others feel 'should' be. Come. Sit. Talk. Let's wander your path together. I am specialized/certified in trauma, addictions, and adolescent disorders (Behavioral and ADHD). I use an integrated approach incorporating rational emotive behavioral therapy, reality theory, psychodynamic, and person centered. I offer members of KY, SC, FL, AZ, DC, and OH communities a Conservative choice for a new clinical perspective. With over 21 years of experience, change is merely a button away.

Dr. Cynthia Hanson
I am a doctoral-level psychologist licensed in Kentucky with over 30 years of experience working as a psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, anger management, physical and emotional trauma, PTSD, and LGBTQ concerns. My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I place emphasis on the client becoming their own “agent of change” by identifying areas for change or modification. Although I gather information about past history, my primary focus is about determining how to improve psychological, emotional, and life circumstances in the “here-and-now.” I will never tell you "what to do." Instead, I will serve as a guide as you explore and consider the changes you want to make. My primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, but I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to working with you!

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Jacqueline. I am a licensed clinical mental health therapist in Kentucky. I have been in this field for 14 years and have a genuine passion for the work I do. While I specialize in addiction, trauma and grief, I have worked with individuals on an individual as well as group level, focusing on a wide array of areas from depression and anxiety, and more complex mental health issues such as Bipolar, Schizophrenia, and personality disorders, along with many others. My approach is more of an eclectic approach as I do not insist on using any particular modality for each client, but rather, I like to tailor my approach and methods toward and around the needs of each client I serve. In more recent years I have primarily worked with co-occurring disorders such as mental health and addiction but do enjoy working in all areas of mental health and addiction. I find fulfillment in being able to help those in need, to overcome obstacles they are faced with. Everyone deserves to find their place of happiness and true contentment and to be able to reach the highest level of satisfaction in themselves and where their lives are at and going. It can be difficult to see and experience when you are weighed down with all the stressors life presents. I look forward to meeting you and being able to go on your journey with you and watching you grow to reach your fullest potential.

Erica Hayes
I am a licensed professional counselor in Kentucky with 4 years of professional work experience. I graduated from University of the Cumberlands. I have experience in helping clients with relationship issues, trauma and abuse, intimacy related issues, & depression. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I primarily utilize CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and person centered approaches in therapy, although I occasionally pull from other modalities when it is best suited for my client. While this may be confusing to you, what it means is I have a lot of different approaches that I use depending on what we are working on together. My availability on BetterHelp is very limited. Currently, my availability is typically Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday afternoons/evenings, but this does change at times. Due to limited availability, I ask that you give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel an appointment. This allows time for other clients to take that time if needed. All no shows/late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) will be reported to BetterHelp. No showing 2 appointments within a 6 month period will result in being referred for in person counseling or to another BetterHelp therapist. Late canceling and/or no showing 2 appointments within a 60 day period may result in being referred out, as well. While I understand that things come up, I do ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations. If you stop treatment/have a lapse in payment that causes you to become “inactive,” I may not have availability to see you if you return. I keep a small number of active clients and due to limited time I cannot hold places on my caseload for inactive clients. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I am excited to walk beside you and be your partner in this journey.
