Hello, I am Dr. Janet Dean, a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Kentucky. I have over 25 years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy, working with people at many different places in life and with many different concerns. My training was at The Ohio State University. Clients would tell you that I am easy to relate to and quite supportive, even when we are dealing with hard issues. My general therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioral therapy within a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. While I am able to serve individuals with just about any personal or psychological issue, my practice tends to be with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, life changes, faith, relational issues, and sexual identity and sexual addiction concerns. In addition to being a therapist, I am a college professor, teaching psychology to undergraduate students and training graduate students who want to become counselors themselves. Part of my academic work includes research centering on sexual identity and faith, counselor self-care, and the connections between faith and mental health. My research team and I have published numerous articles and a book, and we travel throughout the country presenting our work and training people to provide better care. My hope for my clients is that they find freedom, peace, and joy by becoming comfortable with who they are, building strong relationships with others, and finding their place in life. It would be an honor to walk with you in your journey.

Life reminds me of an iceberg. The tiny portion that is visible to the eye is nothing compared to what lies beneath the surface. Through my experiences I have helped chisel ice in order to assist individuals to reach the goals and change negative thinking into something more positive. I have experience with different modalities of therapy. These include PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, or trauma experienced during childhood. I graduated with honors from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, and have been in private practice for 17+ years. I have and will continue to invest my time and experience to help those who want to seek additional help navigating this world and create coping skills to improve each individual's life experience.

Hi! My name is Russell or Rusty or Russ, whichever you prefer. My approach is casual, but also rooted in science. Like an astronaut might say they “always knew they wanted to be an astronaut”, I’ve always known I wanted to be a therapist. I’ve studied the more interesting psychological treatment approaches, like humanistic theory, motivational and mindfulness based approaches, but graduated from a rigorous Psychology program rooted in the science of Cognitive Behavioral Theory. My Master's degree is a Master’s of Science in Social Work. I believe that there’s a framework that fits everyone and every problem, but that good outcomes are rooted in a good therapeutic rapport as well as an approach that actually works. Let’s let your challenges guide our treatment approach, I’m here to listen and help you solve! Hey folks!I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee. My passion for therapy began after realizing I was helping many clients with the similar concerns related to identity confusion, limited self-awareness, and low self-confidence. I realized I could reach out to more people using different forums and saw an opportunity to help more people than I could ever hope to see in individual sessions face to face. There just aren’t enough hours in the week! My therapy style is warm, supportive, interactive, validating, and empowering. I utilize a client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy approach with a solution focused perspective, and have training and extensive experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and rational emotive behavioral therapy ( REBT) As a conscientious therapist it is important to me to provide a safe, non-judgmental, therapeutic environment, and treat everyone with respect, compassion, and unconditional positive regard. I offer a style and approach that best fits the needs of each individual, and partner with each individual to create a treatment plan with specific goals and objectives that meet specific needs. Life is pretty complex and sometimes presents us with challenges that require support and therapeutic interventions to achieve balance and overall wellness. Congratulations to you for your courage, and on your decision to seek empowerment and enhance your current emotional well-being. If you are ready to take the next step, know that I’m here and looking forward to supporting and empowering you as you strive to elevate your wellness.
