Hi, I am Jonathan White, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based in Kentucky and I have provided counseling to couples for over 7 years of experience working as a therapist, drug and alcohol counselor, Christian Counselor, and life coaching. I am extremely dedicated to meeting the needs of the individuals I work with and helping them achieve their therapeutic goals. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD, commitment issues, bipolar, and ADHD. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma, sexual abuse, and/or emotional abuse. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in meeting every person where they are, and I treat everyone with dignity, empathy, and respect. My approach combines a trauma-sensitive, cognitive-behavioral focused counseling that draws upon Reality therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and attachment-based approaches to support the whole healing of each person. I believe in the resilience of each person and focus on each person's strengths in overcoming current challenges. Listen, it takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you. Hello! I am Dr. Brandon Olive, a licensed clinical psychologist in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. I have learned from personal and professional experience that compassion and caring are crucial to overcoming life's struggles. It's important to acknowledge that an individual's cultural background and personal beliefs are key to individual development and change. I will work with you together, in a collaborative way, to empower you as an expert of your own life. I believe in what science and research can offer in terms of helping us reach our full potential, to use strategies for better planning, thinking, reacting, and behaving. As a clinician with 21 years of experience working in many different settings, one of my strengths has been my exposure to a wide range of clients from many walks of life, all experiencing a broad spectrum of problems and concerns. Your personal characteristics, wants, desires, and needs will help me draw from these experiences to assist you with minor concerns or more severe problems such as major depression, anxiety, panic, serious life adjustment, or prolonged grief. I have some fairly unique experience working for lengthy periods of time with patients suffering from severe symptoms who have required hospitalization and management with medications, including individuals with traumatic brain injuries and psychotic symptoms. As a provider with this background, in addition to counseling, I may be able to provide recommendations for other forms of assistance which are helpful for alleviating difficult-to-treat symptoms and guiding you toward your higher potential. I would encourage you to feel comfortable reaching out to me for an initial chat about your unique concerns and needs. This will enable you to decide in an informed way if we are a good match. No therapist is "effective" if they are not a good "fit". I believe in honesty and transparency when selecting a person with whom you will likely be sharing very personal and sometimes painful experiences. This is a person-to-person endeavor, and you should be comfortable with your selection and what you can expect from this journey. Using online services is an increasingly convenient way for me to reach out to others in my community who are very difficult to engage in my part-time private work, and impossible to reach through my full-time agency work. We can accomplish a lot through this platform. Hopefully I can be of assistance! I look forward to meeting you and mutually determining the best approach for your success. Brandon

"There can be no transforming of darkness into light ... without emotion." -Jung Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the core of my training. It embraces the belief systems of the past that affect your present. It's a state-of-mind that defines thinking that affects emotional awareness. To become aware is not to change, but to understand and accept. Carrying guilt or shame of the past, triggers the conflict of now. I don't offer advice - I offer choices - a chance to choose your own method of healing that fits you - not something others feel 'should' be. Come. Sit. Talk. Let's wander your path together. I am specialized/certified in trauma, addictions, and adolescent disorders (Behavioral and ADHD). I use an integrated approach incorporating rational emotive behavioral therapy, reality theory, psychodynamic, and person centered. I offer members of KY, SC, FL, AZ, DC, and OH communities a Conservative choice for a new clinical perspective. With over 21 years of experience, change is merely a button away.

Searching for a clinician that is right for you is an important step in the change process. It takes courage and strength. I encourage you to be proud of yourself for simply exploring therapy as an option to enhance your wellness.  I have worked as a therapist since 2015 and in the mental health field since 2009. I achieved my Master's in Social Work at Western Kentucky University in 2015. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Kentucky LCSW 253593).  I have obtained education and supervision in the utilization of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused brief therapy, strengths-based therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy inspired interventions. I work through a person-centered approach, meaning the interventions and therapy approach utilized will be determined based on each individual's specific expressing, processing and learning styles. This ensures each individual I partner with receives the best possible care and support, specifically for their individualized life and circumstances. I have trained experience with working with individuals regarding life stressors, self-worth/self esteem concerns, behavioral pattern concerns, substance use, trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar I and II, grief, and a number of other concerns. I strive to provide each person I see with an authentic environment, filled with empathy, education and empowerment, to enable them to develop and reach their wellness and/or life goals. Even if you have not been able to identify your goals, and know you just want something different, you are at a place to begin your process.
