Hi! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. My name is Alice Congdon and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota. I have been in the helping profession since 2008 and have 8 years experience as a therapist. I have worked in a variety of settings: client's homes, schools, places of employment and in office. I have experience as a Personal Care Assistant, Job Coach, Direct Service Professional, Mental Health Practitioner, In-patient Therapist, and Outpatient Therapist. I have interned in a chemical dependency rehabilitation facility (that focused on minority women) as well as interned in multiple K-12 schools. My experiences have helped shape the therapy I do today. I have the most experience working with Depression, Anxiety, Addictions, Relationship Conflicts, and Life Transitions. I also have experience with Bipolar Disorders, PTSD, ADHD, OCD, Hoarding, Grief & Loss, and Spiritual Issues. I consider myself a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist as well as Solution-Focused Brief Therapist. I also utilize Existential, Multicultural, Motivational Interviewing, Family and other therapies as needed. I believe in looking at all the individual pieces that make up the entire person and assessing how each aspect of a person's life contributes to their overall functionality or dysfunction. In session, we work to develop insight and connect that to daily, weekly, and long-term goals. I look to create a sense of hope within a person that will motivate them to achieve their goals. I believe ultimately that YOU are the expert on your life! You know yourself better than anyone and have the final say in goals and interventions that we practice. Having said that, my role will be to provide safety, confidentiality, empathy, and a non-judgmental atmosphere. I think therapy is like driving a car: we occasionally glance back to see where we have been, while mainly looking forward to where we are going and focusing on the present moment. I am excited to start our journey together! Please be advised I can only Video & Phone sessions during evening sessions. I am available for Messaging and Live Chat during the morning/ afternoon session ( and any other available sessions). Thank you!

16 years offering treatment

Hello! My name is Crystal and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota. I graduated from St. Cloud State University in 2006 and I have about 16 years of counseling experience under my belt. In those years, I have had the pleasure of working with individuals, couples and families in both residential and outpatient settings. Most of the people I have worked with have been those that have experienced significant trauma; however, I have also been able to work with those experiencing daily life stressors. I have been told by many that I am easy to talk to and that is my main goal. I wish to offer an unbiased, non-judgmental, validating, and caring experience to those who are seeking help. Taking the first step to engage in therapy is difficult enough and it is my hope to offer comfort and reassurance during the process. The approaches that I tend to gravitate towards are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Client Centered, and Solution Focused. I believe with a mixture of these modalities most people can find their way through their tough times and get to a point where they feel more comfortable with life. I definitely look forward to going on the journey with you to get to a better place with life and yourself.

Hello, my name is Nikki Hubbs. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Minnesota, with over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents (ages 5-18) in an in-school setting, as well as adult individuals and families in a clinical setting. I have worked with children, teens, adults, and families with a variety of concerns and life challenges such as depression, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, social concerns, trauma, gender identity concerns, grief and loss, behavioral issues, relationship issues, parenting problems, addiction, suicidality, communication barriers, eating disorders, cognitive distortions, OCD, ADHD, and social, relational, and self-esteem difficulties. As a therapist, I try to remain open-minded, unbias and curious with each and every person I work with, allowing me to better understand the unique experiences, struggles, and issues each individual may be facing. I recognize the uncomfortableness, uneasiness, and uncertainty that therapy may bring so therefore, I try to lessen those feelings by always utilizing genuine compassion, empathy, understanding, and listening. I believe it take strength and courage for a person to reach out for help, to recognize they are unable to do it alone, and to take the first steps towards making change for themselves. Each client's situation is different, so therefore, treatment plans are individualized and uniquely tailored to address identified issues and concerns that each client has and would like to work towards changing for the better. I utilize and combine a multitude of therapeutic approaches and interventions in therapy, most often using a Humanistic, Person-Centered Approach, some other examples are; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. I commend you for recognizing the want and need for change within yourself, and that sometimes life's challenges are bigger than what we are able to handle alone. Please know you are not alone and I am here to help. Thanks :)

I am currently working on my Doctorate of Psychology and was EMDR trained in 2021. I am very person-centered in my work with clients as I believe that you know you better than I know you! My practice is solution-focused as I believe in focusing more heavily on the problems you’re experiencing right now and working together to develop effective strategies for improving not only your current symptoms, but also your overall life satisfaction. I often incorporate Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy at times to help identify problematic thinking and retrain your brain to be more positive! Some other theories I believe in are Positive Psychology and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have significant expertise in dealing with adults (18+) who are experiencing the following: various mental illnesses (including but not limited to Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, other Psychotic Disorders, Depression, Anxiety); difficulty adapting to life situations; relationship issues; stress caused by pressure at work or home; grief and loss; self-esteem issues; other difficulties maintaining life balance. I also have experience with addictions issues and am able to help in those areas. I am skilled in aiding others in developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, independent living skills, stress management, personal empowerment and advocacy, healthy leisure habits, and other important life skills. It is important to understand that therapy is about you and what you need, so the process is really driven by the client! My role is to facilitate discussion and prompt new ways of thinking in order to inspire fresh perspectives. :)
