I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, licensed in the state of Minnesota. I have been in private practice for 8 years now. Clients I have worked with have diagnoses from depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders and personality disorders to name a few. I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. My counseling style varies depending on each individual client. I make every attempt to treat clients as a whole person, not to divide a person's life challenges as separate from the person. This is helpful to see that a problem can be resolved by relying on other strengths of the individual. I will use humor and normalizing as tools to help clients as well as skill building and self compassion as tools the clients can use to help themselves when they are ready. I do not shy away from challenges and I know that reaching out for help is scary and going into a place of unknown. I look forward to walking alongside clients as they journey through the process of starting to live their best life. I will be your biggest cheerleader, loudest advocate and strongest defender as you go through the challenges and triumphs of counseling.

Ryan Plasch
Ryan works with adult individuals, couples, and parents. He has experience working with a wide range of people, diverse life issues, and mental health diagnoses. His clients find him easily approachable, warm, and non-judgmental. He takes a positive and practical approach, using humor and creative thinking outside the box. Ryan likes working with people wanting to evaluate and redefine their life roles and goals. He helps identify their “cognitive loops” and the sabotaging thoughts and feelings that keep them stuck in their lives and relationships. His work focuses on identifying the inner critic, fostering emotional intelligence, and realigning life with a person’s values, hopes, and goals. Ryan works with men and women, individually. And he has a passion for working with couples needing to reconnect after challenging life transitions: infertility, postpartum, grief and loss. He helps couples close the emotional and physical gap between them, heal attachment and communication wounds, explore and develop family goals and values, and increase sexual chemistry between one another. He brings personal experience with male infertility, miscarriage, and parenting.

Katherine Flynn
Hello. My name is Kathy Flynn and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Minnesota. I have worked in the mental health field for 35 years. I worked in the substance-abuse programs for 14 years and went into private practice 21 years ago. My specialty has been working with addictions which includes depression, anxiety, codependency. I’ve also worked with individuals going through divorce and facing fear, anxiety, anger, betrayal, low self-esteem, and communication issues. Grief and aging are also two areas that I have worked with individuals. I’ve also worked with military families from 2007 to 2012, working with re-integration and deployment concerns. My counseling style is individual psychology which is a cognitive social psychology. I focus on a person's feelings of anxiety and inferiority to examine that person's sense of belonging. My goal is to help people feel comfortable and confident within themselves. My focus is to assist the individual in recognizing and identifying their strengths rather than their witnesses. I am looking forward to partnering with you and see you move forward on your journey through life.

So, I’ve been around the block. Twenty-five years in blue collar/ heavy industry working as a millwright. Going through the process of understanding myself around issues of depression, anxiety, addiction, failed relationships, dissatisfaction with my place in life. Frustration with not living up to my potential, often not realizing my potential, and too often on the path of desperation. The journey has taken me to my current situation. I am a Masters level Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a life time of experience in that process of becoming. Learning the tools of understanding and building a stronger foundation of personal growth! I am also a professional singer & photographer, part of my emerging creative potential. I believe we all have a gift. As Picasso stated: “The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away”. My passion is guiding others toward that same journey of continued self-discovery: working through the impasses, the resistance to personal growth. I have many tools in my toolbox: • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) With a focus on mindfulness • Cognitive-behavioral Therapy (CBT) Working through programmed patterns of thoughts, feelings, beliefs & behaviors that develop into a recurring cycle. • Anger Management • Trauma-informed Therapy Trauma-informed care shifts the focus from “What’s wrong with you?” to “What happened to you?” • Somatic-focused Therapy. Specialties Mindfulness • Spirituality • Stress, Anxiety • Self esteem • Depression • Coping with life changes • Sports & Performance If this is a direction you want to go then I believe we can go on that journey together.

Leah Pavela-Mullins
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 15 years of experience in helping people find solutions to their problems. Over the years, I have been told by clients that they really feel that I am listening to them and trying to understand what is going on in their lives and how they feel. Clients have also told me that they do not feel any sense of judgment, but rather that I accept them for who they are and where they are in their life’s journey. My style is empathetic and solution focused. I will spend time asking you questions in order to get to know you and try to find out what is at the heart of your issue. Together, we will talk about possible avenues you may want to take, or changes you may want to consider. I may give you some “homework” assignments…things to write out or think about, worksheets to complete, or even techniques/exercises to practice in your own time so that some of what we discuss in our sessions is reinforced. Most of all, I will be an objective listener, helping you to gain insight into what is going on with you, so that you are able to make the choices and changes you want to, in your own time. I look forward to working with you!

Cassandra Moore
Hello and welcome to BetterHelp! I am a Licensed Master's Level graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM). I have worked with individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and families in several different non-clinical and clinical settings including residential and intensive outpatient in both non-profit and private facilities. My specialties include treating individuals with communication issues, intimacy-related issues, depression, stress and anxiety, low self-esteem, ADD/ADHD, family conflict, relationship issues, death of a loved one, substance use/abuse. As your therapist, we go through your journey together to decrease and/or eliminate distress of your mind and within your relationships through "talk therapy". My approach to your treatment depends on your goals for therapy and the issue(s) that you present. At times, we delve in your family background and how you were raised as a child and into your past relationships as I have found that what's going on presently is a direct result of unresolved issues from the past. At other times, there is just a need to find a solution and/or come to a resolution of an issue. I utilize a few treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals!
