My name is Kim Ream and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the state of Missouri. I have approximately 10 years’ experience counseling individuals (children and adults), couples and families. I have done crisis in-home family counseling, I have done private counseling at a counseling office, and I have worked in higher education counseling college students. I have worked with a variety of clinical issues and problems like family conflict, blended family problems, adjustment to life stages problems, addictions, grief/loss, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and many others. I am specifically trained in Gottman Method for couples-level 1, EMDR, Grief and Loss, and currently working on certification in integrative medicine: fitness and nutrition as it relates to mental health. I utilize person-centered, solution focused, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral approaches. Also, as a marital and family therapist, I do use a systemic approach. I do not feel there is a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. Each person I see is unique, their problems are unique, therefore, my approach to assisting anyone is tailored to the uniqueness and complexity of the problems they are experiencing.

Jade Depue
I began my journey to becoming a therapist when I entered Mizzou as a freshman in August of 2004. I continued to further my education and pursue my passion of helping others in a myriad of ways throughout the years. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies in 2009 with a minor in Psychology. After taking a break to work in the People Management field, I then completed a Master of Education in Professional Counseling with a dual emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling through Stephens College in 2012. Attending to multiple demographics and having the opportunity to work in diverse settings throughout my educational and professional experience has allowed me to provide individualized care to those I work with. I have had the privilege of serving individuals throughout their lifespan, including those with developmental disabilities, severe and persistent mental illness, and in various transitional phases of their life. I believe that fostering and developing relationships are important components of leading a well balanced and healthy lifestyle. My role as a therapist is to guide and support those who seek out my services. I do this in a way that allows them to explore, process, learn techniques, gain perspective and follow through on ways to achieve those goals. I have a passion for helping others and enabling them to grow and develop by providing resources and assistance that aids in meeting those goals. My specialties and experience include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused, PSB-CBT, Illness Management and Recovery, and IDDT. I am a licensed professional counselor and advanced alcohol drug counselor who has served clients in Missouri, Texas and Oregon. I have been providing services for 10 years as an addictions counselor, dual-diagnosis therapist, crisis counselor and therapist for those with serious and persistent mental disorders. I have practiced in multiple arenas including community counseling centers, schools, secure and non-secure criminal justice facilities, hospitals and private homes. My approach is somewhat eclectic in that I assess each client and use the modality best suited for their current challenges. This may include Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Applied Positive Psychology and Person-Centered Therapy. Teaching and supporting clients in learning new skills is also very important to me and are included in many of my treatment plans. I take a holistic approach by looking at the body, spirit and mind. I believe that nutrition, exercise, mindfulness and overall health play a foundational part in the therapy process. I have a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from Missouri State University. Since graduating, I have pursued additional education and training in multiple areas including positive psychology, anger management, relationship skills, domestic violence, and suicide prevention.
