Kara Snodgrass
Hello! My name is Kara Snodgrass and I am looking forward to this new way of counseling. I am licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 10 years experience working as a therapist. Before becoming a counselor I worked as a family support worker for 5 years. My experiences include in-home work with families and children, substance abuse, child protective services, foster care and crisis work with the goal of reunification when possible. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including relationship issues, parenting problems, with a special focus in anxiety. I have a collaborative, client centered approach. I offer a variety of interventions depending on your needs. My approach is focused on you, I take your lead but can nudge if I think it will be helpful. I am empathetic and and believe we are all struggling in some area. You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. The frequency with which you can have access to a counselor to work through day to day emotions and problem solving is extremely beneficial for most and a nice change from traditional outpatient counseling. I usually check messages each day, five days per week. I offer messaging, live chat and phone sessions with limited availability in the evenings and weekends. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability so you always want to check that out with me through messaging first. Azizi Hamilton
I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and have provided outpatient therapy in private practice and community settings since 2016. I have experience working with adults, children, and adolescents with mental health, relational, and/or spiritual issues. My approach to counseling is non-judgmental and comes from a person-centered, solution-focused perspective. My Christian faith is an important element of how I view the world and life; however, I will incorporate this element only if you are comfortable. In the counseling setting, it is crucial we discuss things openly and honestly. Therapy is best provided in an atmosphere of safety and trust, which I will do my best to provide for you. Therapy is also a collaboration; therefore, my job is not to instruct or advise, but to empower you to create the change you wish to see. I applaud you for taking this crucial first step towards overall wellness and balance in your life. Now, let’s get started!

Lori Brinkley
Hi! I am so happy you're here checking out resources and looking for support! My name is Lori Brinkley. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 23 yeas of experience treating trauma/abuse, depression/anxiety, post partum issues from moms adjusting to their new roles to post partum stress and depression, anxious college students, adult children of alcoholics, co-dependency, parenting, co-parenting after divorce, boundaries, women going through the transition of divorce, "sandwich" generation (those caring for their children while caring for an aging/ill parent, busy professionals struggling with work life balance, adoptees who need help navigating the trauma of adoption, and couples feeling disconnected and isolated. I do a unique thing called "couple's counseling for one" which is when one partner is not ready, willing or doesn't believe in therapy. I meet with the willing participant to learn new tools and coping skills or boundaries to implement in their relationship with the goal of improving connection and communication. My approach is warm and nurturing, yet direct and confrontational as needed. I believe it is imperative to challenge patterns and make difficult connections but I know you can only push as much as you support. Humor is infused into sessions as it is a huge part of my personality, but it helps make therapy fun (and I believe therapy should be fun)! I am an advanced generalist who uses a variety of tools relying heavily n Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, strengths, and problem solving. I am a mom of two college aged kids (yikes when did that happen). I spend my time doing anything outside. especially the beach, but nature is such a healing and calming force in my life. I love to read a good suspense book or watch a good character driven movie. I have seen all of the Star Wars and Avengers movies, because my son loved them but I have to admit I fell in love with them too. I am a waterfall hunter, and love to travel. My bucket list mostly consists of places I want to explore. I did a Tough Mudder 7 years ago and it was one of the BEST experiences of my life, facing my fears head on, overcoming them one by one and evolving every step of the 12 mile/26 obstacle process! Life is short. It is filled with beauty and stress and joy and devastation and then some. Perspective is key, but we can only explore other perspectives once true understanding and validation has happened. I hope you will reach out so we can work together to reach your unique goals and cultivate more joy in your life.

Tavares Bostic
As a therapist, I understand the bravery it takes to be completely vulnerable with another individual. My role in the counseling room is to meet you right where you are with respect, compassion, and non-judgement. I find it a privilege to journey with a client. Hi, I’m Tavares Bostic, I am a licensed clinical social worker in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. Best known for my down-to-earth and very sound approach, I look to help people marry the discontent they may feel in their lives, with proven coping mechanisms focusing on reducing symptoms related to their mental health diagnosis. With over a decade of experience, I have long been an advocate for helping remove the stigma attached to mental illness, helping couples renew their love and focus to one another, and ensuring that older adults in assisted living and retirement communities become educated on symptoms which are directly related to mental health diagnoses and become motivated to address them by engaging in psychotherapy and most appropriate psychotropic medication. I was blessed enough to earn my master’s in social work with a certification in clinical mental health from The University of Pittsburgh and my bachelors of social work from North Carolina A&T State University. I believe that the combination of cognitive behavioral therapy and Reality therapy is one of the most effective ways of empowering individuals to become their best. I have had the opportunity to work in multiple settings over the past 10 years and I’ve covered mental illness across the spectrum. Let’s sort out what troubles you in healthy ways by exploring your individual experience, and uncovering your unique strengths. I want to empower you to find your best path through this life as you heal from past hurts and search for meaning, purpose, and direction.
