My name is Brianne Hawkins, but I go by Bri. I have been in the "helping" field for over 20 years. I have worked with a wide range of clients, with a wide range of needs. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) with 8 year of experience. I have been professionally trained and continue to take trainings on the latest models and improvements to treatment. I work from a CBT model, CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, this means that I focus on thoughts/thinking styles and how they impact behaviors/actions. I also work from a humanistic approach that focuses on self-efficacy, and self-actualization. I have a true passion for working with women, survivors of trauma, and those coping with anxious disorders ( Anxiety, Adjustment, Panic, and PTSD). I utilize tools like mindfulness, meditations, relaxation techniques, and cognitive restructuring to assist the people I work with. My personal style to therapy utilizes humor, solution focused, attainable baby steps to bringing about change in your life. I am here to support you, until you have the skills to support yourself in your natural community. I am down to earth and truly believe that you are the expert on you, and I am the expert on methods and tools that can help you! My typical availability is Monday -Thursday; 9am until 1pm (with some variations 10-3 during the summer).
