I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Professional Counselor in the states of North Carolina and South Carolina. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor in North Carolina as well as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor Associate, (LCAS-a) and Board Certified, Telemental Health counselor (BC-TMH). I have experience working with adults, adolescents, and children both in individual and group settings. I also have experience working with couples, families and in various settings such as schools. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety, and stress management. A focus in my treatment is establishing a therapeutic relationship with the person first and foremost as I believe having a good connection helps facilitate effective counseling and provides the best outcomes. In therapy, I am supportive, compassionate, and am present with individuals both in times of struggle as well as times of achievement and progress. I make sure to meet each individual where they are at and actively listen to and respect where they would like to see themselves in the future with the help of therapy and skill development. Working collaboratively with individuals on their treatment goals is a priority throughout treatment and I encourage open communication regarding what therapeutic techniques and approaches work best for the person, to ensure the best therapeutic experience. My counseling style combines strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. Identifying one's strengths and coping skills that can be used to help work through various issues is an important part of my therapy approach. I truly value each individual therapeutic relationship and fully empathize with the different emotions a client may experience throughout treatment. I believe that each individual has the ability to overcome struggles but that sometimes-having additional support in the form of therapy can help one to better identify and recognize the coping skills and strengths they already possess. You have taken the first step in creating a healthier, happier you and I would be honored to help you in that journey!

Hi! My name is Jaime and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years of clinical experience. I am licensed in the state of Florida. I am originally from North Carolina and received my undergraduate degree from UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!). After graduation, I worked at the N.C. Children's Hospital providing therapeutic services to children and adolescents. In 2004, I moved to Winston-Salem, NC to begin a graduate program in Counseling at Wake Forest University. Since 2006, I have worked in public and private schools in Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC. I became a licensed professional counselor in 2008 and am passionate about providing quality therapeutic care. My approach to counseling is client-centered in that I strive to provide a comfortable and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. I also utilize interventions from other counseling theories to create appropriate treatment plans. Through Solution-Focused Theory, I provide support to the client by focusing on solving problems instead of being stuck in the past. I also help the client set short and long terms goals to achieve personal growth. Cognitive Behavioral Theory is another effective counseling modality I pull from during our sessions. It is similar to Solution-Focused Theory in that it focuses on the future but it also involves changing unhealthy thought patterns. I also incorporate relaxation techniques and teach coping skills as needed. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and practicing yoga. I also love spending time with my family at the beach, riding bikes in the neighborhood, and cooking in the kitchen. My husband and I have been married for almost 17 years and are always looking forward to travel adventures!

30 years offering treatment

Hello! My name is Brian and I am a Licensed Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in the field. I began my career on the faculty at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC where I saw clients and supervised psychiatric interns completing their outpatient rotations. I have also served as the Clinical Director for a national managed care organization, where I was responsible for monitoring and ensuring best practice treatment planning and therapeutic techniques from over 5,000 practitioners across the United States in a wide range of therapeutic settings including inpatient hospitalization, partial and intensive outpatient care, and outpatient settings. I am currently serving as the Chair of the Graduate Psychology program at a major online university in Florida. Clinically, I work with clients affected by depression, anxiety, self-esteem/motivation, and career challenges. Originally from the mid-west, I currently reside in south Florida. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Biochemisty from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, NJ and my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL. I also returned to school following my Doctoral degree to obtain an MBA from Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC as I am also interested in looking at financial models that promote greater quality of care in behavioral health settings. My approach to therapy is both client-centered and solution-oriented. I strongly believe that clients are the experts of their lives and can be empowered to make changes that allow them to reach their goals. I assist clients in identifying areas of focus (i.e., a roadmap to what they want to achieve in therapy) as well as the steps necessary to take to make the positive changes that they desire. This is accomplished through Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques where I assist clients in exploring relationships among their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be contributing to barriers to their short- and long-term goals, ultimately creating a path to positive outcomes. Outside of my work, I am a competitive rower and devoted father of two wonderful children. I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, traveling, home improvement projects and restoring and maintaining my classic sports car.

Welcome! My name is Pam, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, in North Carolina. I have over 10 years of experience in mental health, including eight years in outpatient therapy. I work primarily from the perspective of cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies, but also incorporate other techniques such as mindfulness, skill-building, and trauma-based interventions. I believe strongly in the validation of clients’ feelings and experiences, to help remove stigma and shame. I will meet you where you are, free of judgement, and with full support for whatever goals you wish to pursue. I believe that with support, clients can be empowered to make difficult decisions and take charge of their own growth. While some decisions we make may not result in the most desired outcomes, I believe that everybody is just doing the best they can. I believe that you are the expert and author of your own life story, and the answers you need will come from within. I am a very direct person, known for my honesty and “cut-to-the-chase” attitude. I avoid buzzwords and clinical language most of the time, except for the purposes of educating the client, so that they can make fully-informed choices. In our sessions, I want you to feel relaxed, at ease, and open to sharing your honest self. I want our time together to be productive, but yet feel as comfortable as a chat between friends. Over my years of practice, clients have described me as “relatable,” “trusted,” and “real.” I am comfortable and supportive of diverse needs and lifestyles. While I make every effort to be “culturally competent,” I appreciate listening to clients tell their own stories. I share my home with my husband and dog. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, attending outdoor music festivals, and getting my money’s worth from streaming television.
