Hi, I am Judy. I am so excited about the opportunity to support you here on betterhelp. I have worked as a therapist for over 23 years with experience in individual and family therapy. I have experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a broad range of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anger management, family conflict, relationship conflicts, and complex trauma/abuse. I also have experience working with depression, intellectual/developmental disabilities, mild autism, and substance abuse issues. I use a person-centered, holistic, eclectic approach in treatment, meaning I begin where you are and focus the treatment approached to your needs while ensuring the therapeutic relationship is built to impact the best possible outcome for your counseling experience. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. However, I do incorporate more other approaches to counseling as well. I would describe my counseling approach client focused and supportive, but I am ready to help you tackle the obstacles you face in the most direct way possible. Together we can work on establishing goals and steps for you to help overcome your current problems. Living your best life is like preparing for a marathon, not a sprint. If you are looking for quick fixes, I am not the best counselor to work with. I believe in taking time and working on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently. Just as physical health takes time and consistency, so does mental health! I look forward to helping you in any way I can! I truly value the therapeutic relationship and hope to help guide you through the concerns and issues that you are facing. I believe that the most important part of therapy is a trusting relationship with a goal oriented focus I look forward to getting to know you and exploring options and opportunities together.

My education and professional background in helping individuals with a wide array of mental health issues gives me a unique and effective approach to counseling. My personal life story enhances my approach, compassion, and empathy. I work to provide my clients treatment plans that they can use in their everyday lives to help them achieve their goals. My experience includes treating adults from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of concerns. My training in Integrative, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interview Therapy complements my humanistic philosophy of Client-Centered ideology, and my life story helps me get deep into where my clients are so I can help guide them to a better place. As a therapist, I have a lot of empathy, I am caring, and I am invested in improving my client's life circumstances. I am non-judgmental and believe that no matter how similar or different we may be, we can work together and develop a rapport. We can start right away, opening lines of communication so I can understand where you are coming from and help in anyway I can. My hope is to develop a warm, and trusting relationship in which you feel comfortable, and heard. Sherry Jones-Williamson
My name is Sherry Jones-Williamson. I am located in North Carolina and have been practicing over 30 years. I received my degree from East Carolina University. Most of my experience has been in the inpatient psychiatric setting, specializing in working with the Geriatric population. My passion has been meeting clients where they are and providing them a supportive, non-judgmental, open minded space to work towards their goals. I also have experience working with clients who suffer from depression , anxiety, schizophrenia and anger management issues. It is my desire that every client be able to develop paths to improved life skills and functionality. I approach all cases from a person centered perspective and my favorite Treatment Modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing In cognitive Behavioral Therapy I will assist you in identifying and practicing alternative strategies to lead to better management of symptoms. Motivational Interviewing is a client focused approach, wherein the therapist provides direct support to help the client explore and resolve reasons for ambivalence to change, which then permits working towards developing goals for desired change. I am eager to establish a rapport with you and look forward to working with you on reaching goals, to enhance your quality of life.

Mary Jo Ayllon
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, and I have been practicing therapy for 8 years. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, grief, anger, abuse and trauma, OCD, ADHD, low self esteem, stress management, multicultural issues, racism, and adjusting to new life changes. I am also a parent and a pastor's wife, and I have experience working with parenting struggles, spiritual concerns, and church problems. My therapy style is meant to encourage comfort, trust, motivation, and hope. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you towards where you want to be. I believe therapy should be goal oriented, but that each person has a different pace working towards those goals. I utilize approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and humanistic therapy. I try to adjust my approach to the needs and goals of each individual client. If a client desires, I am also trained and able to use a Biblically integrative approach to therapy. As a Christian, I see the importance of using a Biblical worldview that reminds us that we are all created in God's image and with great dignity, but we all also experience the curse of sin in every aspect of our lives and the world around us. We feels the affects of betrayals, broken relationships, jealousy, pride, sickness, and pain. A faith-based approach to therapy that uses psychology but is also grounded in biblical truths allows us to see ourselves and our struggles on a deeper level, and also gives us hope and assurance that we are not abandoned and left to figure things out all on our own. Starting therapy is a courageous step towards getting unstuck and moving towards healing, restoration, and a life of joy. I would be honored to work with you along this journey!
