Elizabeth Gibson
Hello, my name is Elizabeth Gibson, I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. I also received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Education and Health Promotion from Central Michigan University. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of North Carolina. I have worked in community mental health and the school environment for ten years providing counseling services to adults, parents, and families. Since 2018, I have had the privilege of providing Telemental health services to adults ranging from eighteen years of age up to the senior citizen age range. I specialize in issues related to depression, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, stress, self-esteem, and parenting challenges. I also have experience in relationship, family, grief and loss, and anger management issues. I am fifty-one years old and have personal experiences that include fulfilling my role as a wife since 2006, and a mother since 2012. I am well versed in chronic illness, infertility, as well as adoption/identity issues. These influential roles, trials, and tribulations throughout my life have undoubtedly prepared and led me to this helping/healing profession. My life's passion is to counsel and help heal individuals from all different walks of life. I consider this to be my true calling in life. I believe that we are all a "work in progress" continually changing and evolving while trying to remain true to ourselves. At the same time, I believe that "one size does not fit all" in counseling, being that we are all unique and complex individuals. We encounter vastly different challenges and circumstances that have impacted our lives in various ways. I use an eclectic approach to effectively treat individuals by adapting Strength-Based, Solution-Focused, Cognitive-Behavior, and Person-Centered therapeutic modalities into my practice. I will tailor treatment to adequately meet your personal expectations and distinct needs, meanwhile providing a safe space, where you can express yourself freely as you wish, at a pace comfortable for you. Building a level of trust, and maintaining a positive therapeutic relationship are two necessities while working collectively as a team. I will support, guide and encourage you in a warm, personable manner, while identifying realistic goals. Together we can develop and address practical coping strategies, conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving solutions, stress management, as well as self-care tools and techniques that can be genuinely helpful in the healing process. I also encourage you to draw upon your definitive strengths and abilities that will help pave the way to positive growth, change, and overall progress made. I can reassure you that validation, empathy, compassion, and unconditional positive regard will be evident in the four modes of communication that I offer throughout treatment. Messaging live, telephone chat, video chat, and asynchronous messaging are all available to help meet your therapeutic needs. Please note that "asynchronous messaging" is Not considered live-time, but rather it's an asynchronous exchange of messages that have no particular scheduled times or dates unlike the other options. With that said, please note that I will respond to your "asynchronous messages" within 24 hours or less. Imagine experiencing a transformation that could change the trajectory of your life path. I look forward to being part of your journey to self-discovery. I applaud you for your courageous effort in seeking help, as it is the first step in the right direction. Taking the initiative in many instances is no easy feat! Although you may feel alone in your struggles, know that you're never alone. Lastly, remember that it is never too late to claim the life that you desire and deserve. I look forward to working with you! Truly, Elizabeth Gibson, LCSW

Edili Maldonado
I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in New York. I have been providing psychotherapy for more than ten years. I have worked with clients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, and other mental health conditions. I have an eclectic approach to therapy. However, there are some approaches that clients are consistently receptive to, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, DBT, modeling, motivation interviewing, etc., which I generally use. Although, I typically prefer to match the clients' needs to specific therapeutic approaches, thereby significantly increasing the effectiveness of treatment. Every client needs respect, acceptance, and compassion treatment, which I always give. I do not believe in judgment, prejudice, discrimination, or labels in therapy, as these prevent treatment from being successful. I strive to empower my clients through insight and strategies to enrich their lives and become self-sufficient in managing their problems/conditions/situations. I commend every client for seeking treatment as it shows the strength and determination to help and improves themselves. My skills and knowledge can assist clients as they take the first step toward their treatment. Let's begin the healthy and healing process together.
