Hello, my name is Danielle (she, her, hers). I believe that even severe mental health challenges can be viewed as imbalances and that our overall wellness is informed by our ability to engage in healthy behaviors and relationships. Many challenges, both internal and external, can interfere with wellness. I believe that healthy relationships are fundamental to our fulfillment as human beings and that often this starts and ends with our relationship to ourselves. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LCMHC) based in New Hampshire and also maintain licensure for alcohol and drug counseling (LADCI) in Massachusetts. I have been providing counseling services for the past 10 years and am lucky to have worked in many diverse settings with children, adults, and families including outpatient, in home, and residential levels of care. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Anselm College and Master of Science Degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in co-occurring addiction. I have worked with individuals and families facing many challenges, including relationship issues, trauma, ADHD, addiction, depression, and anxiety. I am certified in Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT). I am passionate about addressing systemic barriers to care through social justice work and maintain an ongoing education focused on trauma-informed practices and cultural awareness. The approaches I use vary greatly depending on the person I am working with and their preferences, but most often these might include dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, existential therapy, and client-centered therapy. Whatever you may be struggling with, and whatever your comfort level is in talking about it, my goal is to help you identify current challenges and a path forward that works for you. There are no fees for initial consultation and if I am not able to address what you are struggling with, I may be able to point you in the direction of someone who can. I hope I can be of help and look forward to working with you!

Jaret Romano
Welcome! I like to think counseling is a wonderful journey to help explore yourself and develop helpful coping skills when facing difficulty in life. I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years of experience in the field. I have a Master of Arts degree in counseling from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the State of New Hampshire, and I am also a DBT Linehan-Board of Certification, Certified Clinician and an EMDR-Trained Therapist. I have worked with many different individuals, including those who struggle with depression, anxiety, addictions, and trauma. I think of counseling as a process of working together to develop an insightful mind set into who you are and how to make meaning from your experiences. My counseling style involves a high level of active listening upon my part and an overall collaborative effort to help you meet your specific goals and needs. I tend to practice from a person-centered, humanistic perspective. I also have specific training in dialectical behavior therapy, which is an incredibly helpful combination of developing skills in handling highly stressful situations in a healthy way, as well as improve upon communication skills and regulating emotions. I also work with individuals using EMDR therapy as a modality to help resolve unprocessed traumatic experiences. I believe everyone's story and experiences create strengths that can be helpful in feeling better. It takes a lot of strength and courage to start the process of counseling. Something you might want to know about me is that I've been in the client's seat in the counseling relationship and understand just how much strength and courage it takes to talk with a counselor. If you're ready to start the journey, I'm here to support you. I look forward to working with you!
