Dr. Scott Cicero
Hello, I am a licensed clinical psychologist (NY, NJ) with more than 32 years of experience helping clients identify and resolve various life challenges. These have included stress and anxiety; sadness and depression; trauma; job, career, and life transition challenges; family issues; relationship and commitment challenges; and other aspects everyday life. My orientation tends toward cognitive-behaviorism, but I believe that no one theory or practice model will fit every situation and tend to be eclectic in my approach. I have worked with people of diverse backgrounds in many different settings. I believe that if therapy is to be successful, it should focus less on advice-giving and more on identifying one's goals and devising a plan for meeting them. The decision to begin therapy and embark on a journey which can be difficult is to be commended. I hope that I may become part of your journey.

As a therapist, I believe in therapeutic relationships based on deep acceptance, genuineness and collaboration towards personal development. I believe the needs and abilities of each individual are different and work with you to determine what approaches and techniques are most in line with your needs and strengths. My goal through therapy is to empower and motivate you to make positive changes towards the goals established while we are learning how to have a better understanding of ourselves. In my work with individuals, teenagers, young adults, families and couples, I use an eclectic approach depending on what will be effective. This may include humanistic therapy, CBT, trauma recovery model, supportive therapy, psycho-dynamic, integrative and/or emotion focused therapy. Please reference the full list below of the different therapeutic approaches that I use depending on the goals that are established together in therapy. I specialize in the treatment of mood and adjustment disorders, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss and PTSD. Prioritizing self first by focusing on building and/or strengthening your self-esteem, self-love, self-care, silencing inner critic and/or work towards finding your authentic self. Please see the full list below that outlines what areas of experience and focus items we can work towards together as a team. I recognize and respect the courage it takes to make that first step and seek help, and it is a privilege to me to accompany you/teen/couple/family on your journey.

Tai-Anne Linton
Hi, I'm Tai-Anne. I am a licensed therapist, currently located in Baltimore, Maryland. I have been practicing therapy for seven years and have advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University at Albany, SUNY and was previously a Rape Crisis Counselor. My focus is on trauma, anxiety and depression and I utilize strength-based, CBT and person-centered approaches to treatment. I enjoy working with diverse populations, including the LGBTQ+ community, parental challenges and African-American women. Therapy helps us to address concerns that created a significant stress or change in our lives. My way of counseling is to create a non-judgmental environment as I help clients challenge their negative thinking patterns, cope with current stressors and create action plans to address their concerns. I believe psychoeducation is important throughout the therapeutic process, as it can help to address these negative cognitive patterns through learning coping skills and building a tool kit of resources to tackle stressors now and apply them in the future. I believe that self-care is the most important thing we can do for ourselves, other than constantly expanding our knowledge. I am a big advocate for traveling and engaging in activities that bring us joy, allowing us to feel less stressed. If I seem like a great fit for you, I look forward to helping you through this growth period!

Flora Pazos
My name is Flora Pazos, and I have been a mental health practitioner for over 40 years. I am fluent in English as well as Spanish and I pride myself in helping those in need. I have experience in individual therapy, couples and family therapy, and a wide range of adult and pediatric issues. In my practice, I am devoted to adapting services to meet the individual needs of each client, with compassion, understanding, dignity, and respect, while promoting self-determination and self-growth. My therapeutic style is goal-oriented and individualized to the needs of each client. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy and one does not need to have a mental health illness or an emotional issue to benefit from therapy; therapy can help achieve a life-long dream and a sense of happiness in the individual. I teach clients strategies and techniques to reinforce their inner strengths as well as to better cope with their current situations/issues. After each session, you will not only gain the tools to carefully examine each life decision but a much-needed serenity that will help you through the process.
