Megan Rafferty
Warm Greeting from the beautiful state of New Mexico, where I am licensed as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor for the last 20 years. My name is Megan Rafferty and I have been enjoying doing counseling for a total of 30 years. I look forward to meeting you. Is there something in your life you are struggling with ? Is there some part of you that is in pain emotionally? Maybe you would like to learn how to better handle a situation? Together we can build emotional safety for you to explore and discover what you wish to. Using a non judgmental, client centered , holistic approach, we can build on your strengths and explore the areas that of interest and concern to you. Together we can find meaning and depth in what you walking through, and also help you find balance and awareness for your whole being (mind/body/spirit/emotions/behavior). We can approach life's challenges and stay curious to see if there may be any thoughts or emotions that may be holding you back from your potential and your power to positively change your life. Throughout the years , I have been a counselor/trainer/mediator/professor and worked with adults, teens, children, families, parents, couples, and groups in issues of grief and loss, moving through life changes, stress management, communication, family systems, divorce and separation, marriage therapy, art therapy, parenting, workplace conflict, LGBTQQIP2SAA +, caregiving a loved one, and finding your life's meaning and purpose. If we stay open minded and attuned to supporting your whole being and your goals, it is amazing what positive internal and external changes may occur. People make wonderful changes and heal on a really regular basis, and you can too become more of your authentic beautiful self. Please note: If in the last few months you have been feeling suicidal or having thoughts of wanting to hurt yourself, I would not be able to work with you because I am working part-time only, and availability would be limited. It would be better to chose a counselor who is working full-time for BetterHelp. BetterHelp is not an emergency service, please contact 911 or 988, or please call 1-800-273-8285 if feeling like you want to hurt yourself. or others. This is not intended for court ordered therapy. And I do not send out any forms or contact any other providers on your behalf because the work you do here is confidential. Thank you, Megan Rafferty, M.Ed, LPCC, LMT

Dr. Sibella Salazar
I am a psychologist licensed in New Mexico with 8 years of experience working as a mental health provider. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, complex grief and loss, motivation, self-esteem, identity development, trauma and abuse. For two years at a community clinic in Minneapolis I specifically worked with indigenous communities with concerns related to complex trauma, historical and intergenerational trauma, sociocultural stressors, removal from primary caretaker homes, and adjustment difficulties inside and outside the home. I utilize a warm, interactive, and relational approach to my therapy style. I believe that respect, sensitivity, compassion, and knowledge of historical and systemic influences are important for working with members from historically marginalized communities. I practice from an integrative approach in therapy, with narrative therapy as the foundation. Indigenous Ways of Knowing (IWOK) is a paradigm of indigenous epistemologies of holistic being. Therefore, I rely a great deal on IWOK to inform my strategy for utilizing interventions from an array of theoretical orientation (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered, mindfulness) to best meet the client’s needs. Everyone has stories for how they came to be where they are today. Stories have the power to create. I believe my role is to empower my clients, wherever they are in their particular story, and aide in creating a story of resilience, healing and change.

My sessions are client driven, meaning that the client determines the goals and pace of therapy. Counseling is conducted for a variety of reasons, but everyone has one commonality in their reason for seeking counseling – change. counseling is the gateway to making personal changes and can assist in solving particular problems or learning to lead a healthier life. The counseling process can be interesting and exciting. It can also, at times, be very challenging, difficult and even painful. However, the goal will always be to bring about positive changes. I look forward to taking this journey with you.
