Jennifer Rice
I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in Pennsylvania. I have over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, and 13 years of experience as a licensed therapist. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings who have come to therapy with issues related to anxiety, depression, relationship/communication concerns, fertility struggles, parenting challenges, and grief and loss. My therapy style is relaxed and conversational, however I challenge my clients to see patterns that may be keeping them "stuck" in some ways in their personal and professional lives. I use a variety of therapy models and personalize your therapy sessions to meet your needs. Some therapy techniques and theories that I have been trained in and that my clients feel are particularly helpful are CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy techniques, Solution Focused therapy, and Strategic therapy just to name a few. As a Marriage and Family therapist, I try to look at how a system (family, work, social etc.) affects the individual. Thank you for taking the first steps toward change. Our therapeutic experience will be a joint effort in helping you accomplish your goals!

I have experience supporting members of the LGBTQI community. I engage in advocacy as well. I work diligently to create a trusting, authentic, therapeutic relationship with my clients. I believe a safe, nonjudgmental atmosphere is needed for you to explore life’s challenges. My approach combines strength based and solution focused techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and trauma-informed care. I believe in supporting the “whole person” not just pieces. You do not live in a bubble and true well-being should incorporate all aspects of your life. This belief has led me to incorporate a holistic approach in treatment which encourages exercise, diet, Mindfulness, self-care, essential oils, and spirituality just to name a few. I am open to almost anything as long as it supports your well-being. I know “one size does not fit all.” I will tailor treatment to your individual needs. I am here to guide you on the journey to wellness. You have the tools and the strength to heal yourself. My purpose is to help you discover your potential and tap into your hidden resources. Lillian Goodkind
Welcome! I'd like to tell you about myself and my practice so you have a good idea of what to expect throughout our work together. My practice is built upon the foundations of psychodynamic, object-relations, cognitive/behavioral, and systems theories. I believe that our relationships and experiences shape the lens through which we view the world. In turn, the resulting thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape our interactions - both personally and professionally. I believe that every client is unique and presents with the ability to reach full potential. As such, I strive to identify and eliminate barriers to growth. This is made possible by a therapeutic relationship characterized by mutual trust, authenticity, and acceptance. Every client brings a unique skillset into therapy; my aim is to capitalize on existing strengths, introduce new techniques/approaches, cultivate intuition, and bolster confidence. My practice is characterized by a relational approach, which is empathic and attentive. I promote learning through discovery by encouraging clients to reframe and self-reflect. I also partner with clients to engage in cooperative learning, interactive processing, and mutual problem-solving. I look forward to working together!
