Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsatisfied? Perhaps you are ready to make changes in your life, seeking a new direction, or are ready to embark on a new journey. Whether you are grieving a loss, experiencing the effects of traumatic events, or have been exposed to conflicts in your relationships, I want to hear your story. I welcome you to bring your grief, infidelity, and questions or concerns surrounding sex and relationships into our space. Together we can build a collaborative relationship that will inspire you to take control of your story and empower you to narrate your future. Sometimes life places us in circumstances that feel embarrassing or shameful. Working together in a safe, therapeutic, and nonjudgemental atmosphere will be an essential part of our relationship. I strive to create a safe, open environment where you can feel comfortable talking about the difficult places you have been. I am also passionate and have experience working with minorities and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I provide comprehensive services for those exploring gender identity and those on the path to transition and beyond.

My belief is we all have the ability to make changes and improvements in our lives, and some of the most challenging experiences can lead to valuable insights and the opportunity for self-growth. Expression is essential in everyday life, especially when working through difficult times. In some circumstances, it can be difficult to verbally express oneself. Creative expression can demonstrate one’s thoughts and feelings in a tangible way that verbal expression is not always able to. Art Therapy can be helpful in exploring one’s thoughts and feelings and fostering self-awareness. As an Art Therapist, I have the ability and knowledge to bring artmaking into therapy to help facilitate the healing process. I practice with a person-centered, strength based, creative approach to meet clients where they are and help them start to make changes and heal. I graduated with my Masters in Art Therapy with a Specialization in Counseling in 2014 from Seton Hill University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), as well as a Board-Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). I have experience with Trauma Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, as well as Crisis Intervention.

Susan Frey
I have been a therapist for over 16 years. I received my master’s degree in counseling psychology from Seton Hall University, and my Bachelor of Science degree from York College of Pennsylvania. However, this is a career change for me. This change was brought about by a sudden disruption to my life. As a therapist I have experience in treating addictions, anxiety, depression, stress, grief, bipolar disorder, anger management, and more. I employ cognitive behavioral therapy, most of the time. However, depending on the client and their needs I may use short term solution focused therapy or ACT. What is important to me to is for you, the client, to reach your goals and lead a more fulfilling, satisfying life. Let me help you to become a better you.

Dr. Sharon Young
Hello! I am a Clinical Psychologist licensed in Pennsylvania with over twenty years of experience practicing psychotherapy. I earned a doctorate (PhD) in clinical psychology from Georgia State University. I have worked with clients of various ages (e.g., children to older adults) in a variety of settings (e.g., outpatient community mental health and health centers; outpatient private practices; inpatient units of private and public hospitals; a state psychiatric hospital; and a university counseling center). In addition, I have worked with clients experiencing a wide variety of psychological challenges and concerns, including: mood disorders (depression and bipolar); anxiety disorders (generalized anxiety; obsessive-compulsive disorder; and panic disorder); psychotic disorders; attentional difficulties; impulse control and behavioral problems; substance use and misuse problems; and problems associated with significant stress and trauma (acute-, post-, and complex post-traumatic stress disorders). Additionally, I have assisted clients in targeting specific behaviors, including persistent suicidal ideation or acts of self-harm. I have also assisted people in working on life issues and challenges, such as: grief; shame; adjustment difficulties; stress related to employment, education, or relationships; relationship difficulties; parenting challenges; self-esteem issues; problems related to identity; and experiences of imposter phenomenon. While I view clients' difficulties and the therapy process through the lens of psychodynamic theory, my therapy style (or how I am "in the room") is warm, collaborative, empathic, and client centered. I work hard to be present, listen attentively, and understand a client's experience from his/her/their perspective. Also, I utilize techniques and strategies from various psychotherapies, including: cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based-cognitive-behavioral, dialectal-behavioral, compassion-focused, emotion-focused, narrative, and humanistic-existential therapies. I view clients as experts of their experience and work collaboratively on goals established for making psychological changes to improve their lives. You're brave in seeking therapy to explore making constructive changes in your life. I look forward to working with you in this endeavor!
