I am a licensed professional counselor licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. I have experience with family and couples therapy. I have worked with many different age populations including parents, couples, adolescents, and children, for example. I have worked with clients bringing a wide range of concerns to the table including relational and intimate issues, depression, anxiety, addiction, self-esteem, parenting problems, career change and life transitions, among others. My therapeutic style is warm and interactive and tailored to your needs at the time. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment, Mindfulness, and Eco-systemic structural family therapy. I also draw on Positive Psychology and the Jungian Approach. With my many hats, my plan is to utilize a unique approach, drawing on my experience and expertise, that works and fits best for you. Through our work together, in therapy, I am committed to helping and supporting you to make the changes you want to see in your life. Collaboratively, the essence of our work includes making meaning of your experiences and relationships and the thoughts and feelings that accompany them. My goal is that through our work, struggles and patterns will become illuminated, and by identifying these areas change becomes possible. Together, we can identify the areas that you wish to improve in your life and come up with a plan together on how to address them. Our work together will adapt as your life changes and progress occurs. We are in this therapeutic dance together. It takes a lot of bravery to show up to do the work in therapy. You should be proud of yourself for wanting to take this step. I look forward to working with you in this space.

Andrea Brown
Welcome! My name is Andrea, and I am a LPC (licensed professional counselor) in the state of Pennsylvania. I have over 17 years' experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, partial care, outpatient, crisis and in-home services. Although that seems like a lot, it simply means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and trauma. I also have experience working with substance use and intellectual/developmental disabilities. My dedication to the field of mental health stems from my personal experience with it. I know firsthand that getting help can be a challenge. There is still so much stigma around having mental health issues, the process for getting help can be overwhelming, and it can feel so frustrating and lonely. However, life can change for the better when you find support and take steps towards taking care of yourself! I use a person-centered, integrative approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment approach to your needs. I primarily use evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. I would describe my style as warm and supportive while also being able to challenge when needed. I view counseling as a relationship where we are working together to overcome current problems. In order to do this, we must have a good working relationship where trust is formed. I look forward to hearing from you.

Joy Weissenberg
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor for 10 years mostly in private practice, located in a suburb of Philadelphia. I have worked as a mental health counselor for 20 years, including community outreach and crisis management. My career path also includes sales training, management, and professional coaching. As an accredited addictions specialist, I have an extensive knowledge of 12 step programs and other resources of support. In simple terms, I enjoy helping people get through difficult times of change. Person centered listening is where I start so that I may have a good understanding of your perspective and insight. Borrowing evidence-based techniques from mindfulness and cognitive behavioral theories, we have the tools to reduce the impact when feeling symptoms of trauma, panic, anxiety, depression and losses of job, income, partner, parents, or children. My clients have successfully crafted the skills to finally live what they define to be a more peaceful, positive, and meaningful life. Take your first step toward a better life with a call to Better Help!
