Hello there! Let me first start by saying thank you and congratulations! You should pat yourself on the back for taking the initiative to becoming a better version of yourself. Admitting that you may need guidance is hard, but here you are taking steps towards mental clarity. For that, you should be very proud of yourself, as you have crossed one of the biggest hurdles. My name is Angela, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I earned a masters degree in Clinical Psychology in 2013. My undergraduate degree is in Clinical/Counseling Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I recently earned a School Counselor Certification to expand my horizon in the counseling field. For 8 years, I worked as a Psychology Services Specialist in a correctional setting (Virginia and Pennsylvania). In this setting, I worked closely with clients experiencing many issues in both individual and group settings. A lot of my time has been spent helping people manage depression, anxiety, crises, grief, trauma, substance abuse, thoughts of suicide and/or self-harm, family conflict, anger, sexuality, and identity issues. I have also been lucky to attend many trainings to strengthen my awareness in the field. I currently work as a School Counselor in a middle school and absolutely love it! I take a very client-centered approach and try to be as eclectic as possible to best meet my clients' needs. It is important that we can build a rapport combined with mutual trust to make your therapeutic experience a powerful and helpful one. I really enjoy an integrative approach that uses both cognitive-behavioral and humanistic therapy methods. I am a strong believer in mindfulness and would love to provide clients with different worksheets and techniques that would be helpful in their daily lives. Self-care is extremely important, so I will certainly be encouraging that on the regular. In my spare time, spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring nature, reading, or hanging with my dogs is where you will find me (REMEMBER: self-care is key)!! Whether it be myself or another therapist you see fit, I absolutely hope you find what you were looking for on your journey. If I seem like someone who may fit your goals and needs, please feel free to reach out. I look forward to talking to you soon!

Hello and welcome. I am an Ordained Minister (Rev), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) in Pennsylvania. My background is in pastoral ministry (since January 2001). My wife and I have been married since June of 2000 and we have five children ranging in ages from 12 to 18. Over the past 23 years I have spent a lot of time in counseling with individuals, couples, and families helping them to overcome their struggles (Parenting, premarital and marital issues, ADHD, depression, anxiety, gambling and substance abuse and addiction, legal issues, religious issues, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, and many others). I desired to be better equipped to help, so I went back to get my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy which I completed in December of 2017. I was glad to be able to bring my real world experience to the classroom and I found that I was already putting into practice a lot of what I was studying. Over the years I have worked with clients from all walks of life. I've had clients from all faiths (and no faith) backgrounds, straight and LBGTQIA, children, teens, adults, parents, grandparents, and people in Hospice and their families. I believe that you are the expert of your life. I will help you find ways to utilize your strength to overcome your struggles and move you from your current situation to where you want to be. I will be your supporter, your cheerleader, your encourager, and your teammate. I believe that real change can start in the therapy session, but you make the change happen outside of session and in the real world. You can do it, you can achieve your goals. I'm looking forward to helping you do so.

Nothing is inherently wrong with you. Your diagnosis (if any) is a temporary experience; it does not define you. You don’t NEED me for long, I’m just a guide. But, if something feels off; if your head is clouded; if your career, relationships, or health are stressful; if you’re sick and tired of being sick and tired; if you can’t comb through your options; if you feel stuck, unsure, or overwhelmed; if you can’t find relief… I’m here for as long as you need. But the power is in YOU. I’ll help you become so self-aware that you wholeheartedly trust your intuition enough to offer yourself the answers: no doubt, fear, or guilt. Processing confusing or challenging events requires you to step back: when you pause and breathe, you can make choices from balance, with clarity. I will not make decisions for you, or impose advice; I’ll offer tools you need to mindfully operate, so you can make ALL choices (big and small) with confidence. I’ll bring you back to your baseline of JOY. We like to reach for comforts outside of ourselves when in an unbalanced mental, emotional, or physical state. But you have everything you need to feel better NOW. I will show you just that, PLUS build up your confidence, mindfulness, and self-awareness so that you feel secure and satisfied in all areas of your life. This is the yogic path, and it works.
