Hello and thanks for checking my profile! About me...well, like you its easy for me to tell you the basic's; about my education, attending graduate school at Carlow University and focusing on professional counseling, my experience; working with people that struggle with addictions, trauma, loss, bi-polar disorder, anxiety and depression, stress, acceptance and anger. My treatment approach depends on what help's you and can including motivational interviewing, solution focused, psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and psychotherapy. I believe life experiences can contribute to the therapeutic relationship which isn't anything that is taught but learned, that being said, I've learned to listen, to stay objective and work with someone that is willing to explore together the possibility of answers, changes, actions, challenges, and steps that provide improvements towards achieving your goals. I can't perform miracles but that doesn't mean they don't exist, sometimes its about the process and the willingness to search. Welcome and congratulations on taking the biggest step in therapy, getting started!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (PA) with more than has more than 25 years of experience as a Mental Health Therapist. I hold a Doctorate of Social Work, which was completed in October 2019. I treat children, adults, and families - specializing in trauma, anxiety, autism, and substance abuse from a strengths perspective. I have over 200 hours of specialized training in treating trauma and abuse, with completed certifications in autism, as well as substance abuse. I have helped many patients with many concerns over the past 25 years. I treat from a holistic approach - body, mind, and spirit. Research states that treatment should include physical, mental, emotional, culture, religion, spirituality, and everything that makes you who you are. "Holistic" has become somewhat of a buzzword. Let me describe what holistic means to me. It means that counseling will not fix a thyroid problem. Holistic means that a problem in one area of your life will affect every area of your life. For example, let's talk about depression. Sometimes, people do not have depression. Instead, they might need to work at forgiving themselves or someone else; or maybe they just need hope that life will get better. Alternatively, they might have an underlying medical condition. Sometimes, we just need help to grieve the loss of a dearly loved person or a beloved animal. I help people to find healthy coping skills, people to trust, and ways to live life to the fullest. Be at Peace, Dr. Vic (he/ him) Dr. Victor John Manocchio, II, DSW, LCSW License PA- CW014668; NY – 090111 NPI 1487828554
