If you are ready for a new beginning, schedule a session today. I am flexible with sessions as well. I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, ADHD, ADD, ODD, parenting concerns, adjustment issues, relationship problems, and issues problem solving. In addition to the different areas I focus on, I am flexible with sessions. My primary therapeutic approach is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This approach is useful in addressing how you think, feel, and behave. It is my belief that how we think, makes us feel, and we behave accordingly. My goal is to address your life’s struggles with strategies that allow you to be more empowered to maintain changes (i.e. healthier thinking, feeling, and behaving), reach goals, and feel less overwhelmed with all of the things that are going on in your world. We sometimes are in need of direction, validation, and make sense of what is going on in our world. As your therapist, you will not be alone in this journey.

Dr. Diane O'Brien
Do you often find yourself struggling to sort out your thoughts and feelings about events in your life? Have there been times in your life when you have wondered if you have made the right choices or if there are other possibilities for you? We have all experienced life changing experiences that have shaped us into the people we are today. Sometimes, a listening ear is all we need. Other times, more in-depth exploration of thoughts and feelings is needed before you can feel better. Whichever situation fits for you, I am here to help. I have been in practice for over 20 years and have had experience working with a diverse group of individuals, couples, and families. Together, we have explored trauma events and their impact on individuals and families, family relationships, couples’ issues, and depression, anxiety, infidelity, spiritual dilemmas, and other experiences that have an effect on day-to-day living. My experience extends to adults of all ages, including an older population and caregivers. I am open to working with couples who are experiencing issues, particularly in the area of communication. Working with individuals who are in the early stages of dementia or Alzheimer's Disease are a new and interesting population for me. For me, counseling is a passion. Being a counselor is a calling, it encompasses me as a person and as a professional. It is my hope that you will contact me for counseling so that I can be your companion on your journey to a more peaceful and satisfying future.

Cherri Crisp
Hi there! My name is Cherri and I am a licensed professional counselor. I have over 20 years experience working in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of settings including residential, community agency, outpatient, school-based, and virtual. Although that seems like a mouthful, it simply means that I have had experience working with a broad range and severity of clinical issues. I have the most experience working with anxiety, depression, stress reduction, family/relationship conflicts, life transitions, and complex trauma/abuse, I also have experience working with intellectual/developmental disabilities, and mild autism. I use a person-centered, holistic, and integrative approach in treatment. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment approach to your needs while being sensitive to how your individual cultural identities and lifestyle choices impact your experience. I primarily use evidence based techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectal behavior therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused counseling. I would describe my style as warm and supportive, and I am ready to help you tackle your struggle head-on. Collaboration is important - together we can work on establishing concrete goals and steps for you to help overcome your current problems. If you are looking for quick fixes, I am not the best counselor to work with. I believe in taking time and working on wellness slowly, holistically, and consistently. Just as physical health takes time and consistency, so does mental health. I look forward to helping you in any way I can! My goal is to assist people in working towards fulfilling their fullest potential, healing, and regaining a new perspective on life. Congratulations on taking those first steps to seek change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support you. I am looking forward to working with you!

You will learn to use your intrinsic strengths and skills to process your trauma, be assertive, set boundaries, and refuse to carry the guilt and shame of others, to move forward with self-confidence and purpose. In attaining personal growth, you will ground your healing in authentic hope that creates real change to live a healthy and abundant life.

Nathan Tate
I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practitioner with over 14 years of professional work experience promoting mental health and wellness. I strongly believe that you are the expert of your own story and that you have many strengths that will no doubt assist you in overcoming any challenge you may face along your life's journey. Asking for help and guidance, seeking a more fulfilling and happier life for yourself takes willingness, self-compassion, courage, and insight. I am here to support you in that process. I work alongside clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared and understood without fear of judgment or miss-interpretation. Alliance and trust are valuable assets to nurture, while in the midst of exploring ambivalence, trepidation, and personal growth. Reaching out to a person you don't know yet is a truly brave action. You are taking the initiative to move towards the new and unknown. I will listen, encourage, support, & empower you by helping you navigate new pathways. I believe every one of us deserves maximum attention and commitment to our mental health and wellness from all health care professionals we encounter. My model is dedicated to a solution-oriented continuum and emphasizes practicing a seamless continuity of care that is essential to revealing the unique strengths and challenges of each individual person's life journey. Experiencing effective therapy is all to often encumbered by the severe limitations inherent to a service-centered system of care model, rather than a committed and authentic person-centered approach. I recognize the centrality of systems and cognitive theory in understanding and better navigating our human experiences. I’ve come to understand that most of our life challenges involve comprehensive conditions and circumstances that can be explored and engaged through the use of unique practice informed, bio-psycho-social and spiritual exploration, and holistic and integrated evidence-based intervention and self-actualization methods. Building a strong therapeutic alliance with clients based on developing trust, unconditional positive regard, and mutual compassion provides a foundation for exploring interpersonal challenges, wellness, and existential equilibrium.
