Laura Zabel
Greetings!!! My name is Laura Z. and my passion in life is empowering and guiding people through their own therapeutic journey, to find happiness, peace, and a better quality of life. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (Clinical Practice) in the State of South Carolina with over 8 years of experience as a clinician in a variety of settings, where I have worked with individuals, families, and facilitated psycho-educational and recreational groups. I have experience working with people of all populations, from children to seniors, with varying degrees of mental illnesses. My character is empathetic, down-to-earth, and honest. Clients have reported that I am approachable yet professional, which makes others feel at ease especially when delving into sensitive trauma histories. That said, I am straight-forward and genuine. I enjoy working with an integrative therapy style, incorporating elements from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Problem-Solving Therapy, to name a few. I especially like to empower clients to take back their power and control over their lives, develop boundaries, and accomplish their therapeutic goals. It is my hope that I can meet you where you are in your journey, to encourage and guide you toward positive change. I do not believe therapy looks the same for everyone, so I am happy to work with you on a plan that will meet your needs. It is time to make strides toward feeling better and feeling more content in and with your life. I look forward to working with you, Laura Z.

Alicia Johnson
Hello there! My name is Alicia Johnson, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in South Carolina. I graduated from CSU in 2008 with my BS in Psychology and from Webster University in 2013 with my MA in Counseling, with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling. I've been in private practice since, with a couple of years sabbatical here and there because I am also a mom to three kids. My license is based in South Carolina as I grew up in the Summerville/Charleston area; however, now I live with my kids and spouse (and lots of chickens!) in Brevard, NC, where you'll frequently find us on a camping excursion in our VW bus. I am a very client centered, process orientated, relational, meet you where you are kind of therapist and I hope that I can walk with you as you work to close the discrepancy between the life you want to live and the life you are currently living (while we look at how you got here!). I utilize many interventions to do this and pull from lots of modalities and theory (I love a good "brain hack" or tool), but mainly I hope to be understanding, compassionate, and curious about you.
